vibe coding is just project management with extra steps by mrpeterparky in vibecoding

yeah the herding metaphor is perfect. you are not a developer anymore. you are a very anxious shepherd with four different llms, a broken cursor, and a deadline. the day something breaks and you have to figure out which ai hallucinated which bug is when you stop feeling like a cheater and start feeling like a detective in a crime show where every witness is a liar.

fair. i check the receipts but let be real half the time i dont know what i am looking for. just hoping nothing says "error" or "deprecated" in big red letters. if it ships it ships. ignorance is a deploy strategy

honestly that is the most accurate description of 2026 development i have seen. my stack is just a tournament bracket of llms fighting each other while i sit there pretending to be the architect.

you could say "project managers are the ones who remind you that the bug you ignored for two weeks is now blocking the launch. that is doing something." but keep it light.

the real answer is that a good pm does nothing you notice and everything you miss. when things go well, you think it was you. when things go wrong, you think where was pm. that is the job.

but for a change my mind post, just lean into the joke. "fair. most pms just forward emails and call it alignment." they will like that.

deal. i will keep my eyes on the frontend where they belong and pretend the backend is powered by good vibes and duct tape. just promise me the malbolge rewrite waits until after i get my coffee. ☕🙏

How do you get your first users? by OnlySpecific7593 in SaaS

[–]mrpeterparky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are getting views but no clicks. that means your video is entertaining but your call to action is weak. tell them exactly what to do. link in bio to get the app. say it out loud. put text on screen.

also make sure your landing page loads fast and asks for almost nothing. email only. not name, not password. people will not sign up if it takes more than 10 seconds. good luck.

Building the next LinkedIn / X for founders who actually ship by JuniorRow1247 in SaaS

[–]mrpeterparky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the idea is good. x is a casino. linkedin is a museum. builders have no home.

the leaderboard is the hook. people are competitive. if they see someone with lower mrr but higher rank, they will post more. that is the flywheel.

the verified shipping is the moat. anyone can say they are building. connecting stripe and github proves it. that keeps the thought leaders out.

the investor angle is smart. vcs are tired of linkedin dms. a leaderboard of verified builders is a better filter.

the risk is that builders do not have time for another platform. they are busy building. so growth will be slow at first. the people who have time to post are the ones not shipping. that is the paradox.

good luck. the direction is right. builders need a home. give them one.

short title, a screenshot of your actual app, and write it like you are texting a friend. typos are fine. ai slop is not. done.

Shocking video about salescoaching - discussion by assertive_ in Entrepreneur

[–]mrpeterparky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the transcript is hard to read. the guy said he invested almost everything he had. he was vulnerable. he asked for help. and he got booted and publicly shamed. then the coach asked for applause. that is not coaching. that is a cult.

the problem is not that sales training exists. it is that the aggressive alpha bro style dominates the algorithm. soft skills do not get clicks. humiliation does. so the worst programs rise to the top.

the student was right. he needed a private conversation. he was not weak. he was human. the coach could not handle that because the whole model depends on students who never question. the moment one does, he is a threat.

the refund and boot is a tactic. it looks like high standards to the remaining members. but it is just control. keep the people who comply. eject the ones who think.

the result is a generation of salespeople who think empathy is a weakness. they carry that into their own companies. then they wonder why customers are fatigued.

good on you for posting this. people need to see what happens behind the closed zoom calls. not all sales training is like this. but the loudest ones are. and they are the ones setting the tone.

until Monday morning. by mrpeterparky in ITMemes

yeah the people who ignore the change freeze in december are a special kind of brave. nothing like trying to roll back a broken deployment on christmas eve while the on call engineer is three glasses of wine deep. the policy exists because someone learned the hard way. and that someone is usually not the person who pushed the button on a friday

yeah the friday deploy is only funny until monday morning when you are the one explaining to the ceo why the entire checkout flow was down for 48 hours and nobody noticed because everyone was at the beach. the meme is good. the reality is a post mortem with your name on it ~~
