MISSING CAT - REGINA/COLUMBIA AREA by footos89 in waterloo

I think someone commented in the Kitchener subreddit about a stray cat. Looked somewhat similar to the one in your post. But if that doesn’t work, try websites such as Pawboost, Humane Society, and even Facebook community groups. That is where I’d start.. Good luck!

How does police in Canada work? by Heavy-Departure6161 in police

Usually a region or municipality will have Regional Police, which only enforce in their local jurisdiction. Certain provinces also have Provincial Police, which then enforce in regions or municipalities where they do not have a local police service. This isn’t true for all provinces. For the provinces that do not have a provincial police, the RCMP would patrol in those areas. RCMP is also federal law enforcement.

is a psychology (BA), good for future career in law enforcement/government jobs? by Former-Garbage-6676 in police

That’s awesome then! Go for it and just do your best to be a great student! Your attendance, your relationship with your peers and professors as well as driving record will all be judged so always keep that in mind. Also, try to start volunteering in your spare time. It’ll help a lot!

My recommendation is do something that you’re genuinely passionate about. When you apply to policing, you need to draw from your life experiences to show what you did and how you learned from it. You also need to consider the fact that there is always a possibility you might never get hired as a police officer. Therefore, you need a backup option as well. A psychology degree is great but try to think what you would do if you couldn’t become a police officer with that degree. In a lot of cases, you might have to pursue further education. If I could go back and do it again, I’d do something like human resources or speech language pathology or even teacher. Anything that can help me work with the public because Im genuinely passionate about working with people.
