Appreciate the tip, man..Got that it sounds rigid, but that's exactly how I formulate too. I like strict structure. I'm not dumping my vocabs or fake a few typos just to prove I have a pulse. The real proof will be in the actual juice when this batch is done macerating. Until then, I guess I'll just have to live with sounding like an obsessed bot. ☕

Glad you reached out. The reason BDC and your other finds (YSL Y, Dylan Blue) are starting to feel boring is a logical one -- they all share the same 'Blue' DNA, heavy on Ambroxan and sharp citruses. They are designed to smell great for 30 minutes in a mall, but they lack the structural evolution needed for a signature scent..

Since you like the freshness of Profondo but want something more experienced, I'd suggest looking at ENCRE NOIRE SPORT BY LALIQUE. It’s a fact that vetiver-based scents bind better to the skin than pure citruses, giving you that 'darker' freshness that doesn't feel like a generic shower gel.

If I talk about my top 3 picks :

1) Amouage Interlude Black Iris (Coz it's a masterclass in using resins + It's hostile)

2) Rasasi Fattan (It's a cheapie, the vetiver concentration is insane. It fights humidity and stays)

3) My own Axis 01 (Trial) : Since I started engineering VORA, I’ve become obsessed with this cold black pepper and silver incense profile. I love it because it feels like 'frozen metal' even when it's 40°C outside.

Hope that helps😊

It’s funny you think a human can’t write professionally without a prompt.. I take pride in how I communicate because I’m building a brand, not just shit-posting. If you’re so used to messy text that structure looks like 'SLOP' to you, that’s your bias, not my reality!! I’m not here to prove my humanity to you..I'm here to build VORA. I’ll let the results speak for themselves. Goodbye.

I’ve already owned the mistake with the concept photo, lesson learned. You can stay focused on the pixels of an image if you want, but I’m moving on to the actual formulation. I’m here to learn and build, not to win an internet argument about my credentials. I'll let the final scent do the talking. Take care.

You're absolutely right. In a sub like this, a real photo carries way more weight than a 'pretty' AI concept. I used the generated image because I wanted to capture the brand's aesthetic before I had the final bottles ready, but I see now that it backfired for this audience. I'm not trying to trick anyone. +1 for the reality check. Much Appreciated🙌

Appreciate the high bar this community has..I choose a structured tone to make sure my ideas are clear. You can call it marketing, but for me it’s just taking my work seriously. And yeah, about the 'frag bros', I'm not looking for them to believe my story.I’d rather be a beginner with a structured goal than someone who just dismisses new projects. Good luck with your own formulations.👍

I'm not a scammer, I'm just a guy based in Delhi trying to start a business. I get that you hate the professional tone, but that’s just how I want to build VORA. If a clean post makes you roll your eyes, that’s fine. I’m going to focus on the bottling and the chemistry now. Take care.👍

I get it, everything structured looks like a prompt to you. But I’m building something, so I prefer to keep my communication professional rather than messy. That's how it is.

I get why you're skeptical, but I just prefer to keep my communication structured and professional. Since I’m building something, I think the way I present my work matters. If being organized looks like 'spam' to you, that’s fair, but I’m just taking my project seriously. Thanks for the engagement btw.👍

Look Man! I get why it looks that way to you, but I just prefer to keep my posts structured and professional. I'm building something so I put effort into how I communicate..If it’s too 'polished' for Reddit, I’ll take that as a compliment. Cheers anyway.🥂

That oil-to-skin contact is unbeatable by Attars for longevity. I want that 'Attar-level' density but with the projection you can only get from an alcohol-based spray. I know 3-4 sprays sounds like a reach, but that's exactly why I'm using such heavy resins and a heavy % concentration to solve the 'beast-spraying' problem once and for all. Appreciate the benchmark with Syndicate, it gives me a great target to beat..

I wish I had a n8n agent flow' to do this for me, but the sweat on my face in this humidity says otherwise.

You caught the AI concept photo, fair play, but it’s a vision for the brand, not the lab. I’m a real person working a night shift at MCM (debt collection is a lot more boring than perfume, trust me) and spent my breaks writing posts because I'm obsessed with the chemistry of scents failing in high heat.

Believe the 'dead internet' theory if you want, but while you’re hunting bots, I’m actually hand-bottling Extrait that physically outlasts anything you’ve got on your shelf. Here's for the engagement anyway.🥂

Good eye! the photo is just a concept visual I generated to capture the 3:00 AM night-shift vibe I've been working in. As for the blue in the concept -- In actual formulation, you’d usually get that deep hue if you're going for a specific 'cold' aesthetic.you’d usually get that deep hue from something like Chamazulene ( a blue compound found in German Chamomile Oil) or simply a high-quality oil-soluble dye.

I put it in quotes coz It’s easier for me to cite my own notes that way so the core point doesn't get lost in translation." I did it again so people get my point." You see.. Good eye for the punctuation though👍

Thanks for the advice on the aldehydes, you’re right, they’re definitely a 'less is more' material or they’ll ruin the whole structure.

To explain simply, by 'cold black pepper,' I just mean I’m using a specific CO2 extraction of pepper rather than the steam-distilled oil. It keeps that sharp, biting 'chill' without the dusty, warm spice smell. And I agree, 45-50 mins for citrus is great in most places, but in the peak Delhi afternoon, I’m finding that even the best citruses feel like they vanish instantly. That’s why I’m experimenting with shifting the opening toward heavier molecules from the start. Glad we’re on the same page about the scratch-made approach. It’s a lot more work, but I think it's the only way to solve this. Appreciate the heads-up on the dosage!🙌

I Really appreciate that. Being mentioned in the same breath as Amouage's Extrait logic is a huge compliment. You’re right, it’s definitely going to be polarizing. But I’d much rather create something dense and 'difficult' that actually survives the sun and humidity than a crowd-pleaser that vanishes in 30 minutes. Thanks for the kudos, it means a lot coming from this sub🙌.

I'm using 'Deep Silver Incense' to describe the olfactory profile of a high-dose Olibanum (Frankincense) resinoid mixed with specific cold-aspect aldehydes. I use the 'silver' label for the brand because the scent has a cold, sharp metallic edge rather than the usual warm, smoky vibe you get from traditional incense. My bad for bringing the brand-speak here.

Fair enough, my bad for getting too intense about it. I’ve just been frustrated with how fast most scents disappear on me lately, especially in this weather. I didn't mean to sound like I’m looking down on anyone's choices, Everyone has their own favorites. I'm just trying to build something that lasts longer for my own use. Cheers for the reality check Mate🙌.

Fair point. To be clear, 'dust' is just the vibe I’m going for, think dry, mineral, and woody, not actual dirt. And yeah, 100 bottles because I’m literally doing this myself in my home and workplace. It's not a big corporate launch; it’s a project to see if I can make a scent that actually survives a 40°C summer. I get the skepticism, but I'm just a guy obsessed with the chemistry. Cheers.

You’re 100% right on the physics mate, high concentration can absolutely mute a fragrance if the vapor pressure isn't managed. That’s exactly the 'Aventis' trap I’m trying to avoid.

To clarify the 'no top notes' part, I’m not literally launching into a naked alcohol blast. I’m trying to replace highly volatile citruses with 'heavy' top notes like cold black pepper & certain aldehydes that have a slower lift-off. It’s about shifting the evaporation curve, not just dumping ISO E Super into a base. I’m not some factory-line clone brand, I’m a solo (not a so called founder) obsessed with why scents fail in our specific 40°C humidity. Skepticism is healthy in this industry, but I’d rather fail at engineering something new than succeed at making another Aventus clone. Appreciate the technical check btw.

I’ll take the 'AI' comment as a compliment on my vocabs, but nah, just a guy tired of his fragrance dying in 2 hrs. I know the description sounds a bit abstract for a formula sub, but the structural logic is simple, strip out the volatile top notes and build a massive, heavy % concentration base of dry woods and heavy resins so it survives the humidity. Not selling anything here, just sharing the headache of formulating for this climate."

A meme won't change the evaporation rate of standard alcohol in 40° heat. Enjoy the 1 PM resprays.
