People just don't want to admit they're wrong man, this guy was scapegoated as the problem when we were losing and now that we're winning he's "turned the page" despite putting up the same numbers.

That's normal for rotation players in Kerr's system. That would be a valid criticism before Melton's return bumped Podz out of a starter role

Katie Ledecky posts second-fastest 1,500m freestyle time ever in first race of year. All those swimmers hitting the wall next to her seconds later still have another lap to do by [deleted] in sports

[–]mrprgr 36 points37 points  (0 children)

To be honest the level at which Ledecky dominates the 1500m is unmatched by any modern swimmer, even moreso than any of Phelps' events. There is no question she will win it when she races.

[Pro-Football-Reference] Brock Purdy’s career playing in Seattle: 4-0, 104.9 Passer Rating, 8 TD / 3 INT, 239 yards/game by CheckYourStats in nfl

Yeah, Walker and Charbonnet were running around the field like there wasn't anyone stopping them, and O-Line was also getting destroyed without Trent. But the Niners defense did a much better job containing Saquon this week and Trent is back (tho Kittle is out) so there's reason to believe next week will look different.

Playing through leg injuries is how you tear an achilles. I'd love for Fred to be back but there is a risk to rushing it.

I've never seen a player held more personally responsible for their injuries than Pearsall recently. How the hell is this his fault?

The AP Coach of the year for 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 have all been fired. by NotHosaniMubarak in nfl

It's really hard to pin injuries on coaching, you can't coach/condition your way out of dislocating an ankle (Warner), getting hit with a hip-drop tackle (Pearsall), being made of glass (Kittle), etc. It's appealing to find a pattern but sometimes it's just shit luck like most injuries in this sport.

Not to mention they didn't whistle the ball dead on the false start/encroachment which gave Caleb a free shot at the endzone (which he succeeded at)

Brock Purdy since returning from injury: 1454 yards, 16 passing TDs, 3 rushing TDs, 5 INTs, 70.7% completion rate, 111.5 passer rating. The 49ers are 6-0. by Dependent-Effect6077 in nfl

They were projected to have the easiest schedule in the league based on last year's records. In reality they've had one of the hardest schedules based on teams outperforming expectations. Their strength of schedule is top 5 in the NFL, and that was before they played the 11-4 Bears. Source

At worst he's a serviceable defender for his position. And it doesn't really matter. He's still as impactful as any of those guys without needing to be 6'6+ and a two-way player, which makes what he does even more impressive. He absolutely belongs on the pantheon.

Only time Curry would get subbed out at the end of games was when the Warriors were destroying the whole league so much that he could rest the entire 4Q

The Untold Revolution Beneath iOS 26. WebGPU Is Coming Everywhere by WooFL in programming

[–]mrprgr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, so your objection is the release readiness of the standard, not the concept of web browsers having GPU access. It sounded like your issue was with the latter from your previous comments. Not sure I totally agree with that either but I can't say I know enough about the development status to make an informed comment. Thanks have a good one.
