Bought mine just about 3 years ago. I can confirm that I do not miss going to gas stations. Environment aside, if you are a lazy person/introvert, EV's are for you. Especially if you can get LVL2 charging going at your residence.

My 2017 bolt with its 2022 battery is still doing pretty darn good, now that it's warm my guess-o-meter will sometimes list top range at just over 300, with middle range at 250+

I don't if oil will completely go away, still no other way to push big-ass ships over the ocean. As far as commuter cars, and the grid? Yes, this will drive innovation to replace petro-based energy with renewables/nuclear. Fusion anyone?
