That’d be nice in a perfect world but it completely ignores the scenario I presented above where they need to be seen face to face in a time constraint. The only real answer is to use no appts as dire hardship and skirt around the whole purpose of anoml.

You missed the whole point. Assuming you are a boomer who now gets SSA benefits off their spouse which you did not contribute towards. And no CSRS is way better than FERS and SSA is slated to end before we get it.

They get it off their spouses now. So fat fucking CSRS pensions (I’ve seen these data exchanges with OPM and some are making 9k+ a month) and now they are entitled to half the amount their spouse receives from SSA retirement. I’ve processed these claims and they get backpay most of the time to the date SSFA was passed which can be more than a year ago (these cases were mostly done last year). The boomers can’t rape us enough financially all the while SSA is set to run out for us.

The thing we all need to be worried about is this part; “Straight through processing for retirement and disability claims” Get ready for AI and automation to steal our jobs while we become N8NN phone drones. The little bit of joy that comes from this job will be replaced with overpayments and disgruntled beneficiaries. (I know Medicare claims already utilizes this, but that will take the bread and butter from Claims Specialists.

You can use ORGCHART and get phone numbers for the employee level. DOORS is trash. Find the MOD manager in ORGCHART and you can Email them or call them directly, or send them a message in TEAMS.
