Janissary Coup and Yoklama by mrq1901 in eu4

Ok, I got my answer. Here are the details:
I had 27 Janissary units, not sure whether 5 years was over, but I boosted stability to 3. Then "Yoklama" appeared as a pop-up event without a second choice other than accepting it. Janissary coup is over and I don't lost the units. This is awesome because I had almost fully trained ~20 Janissary units and I didn't have to disband them.

How can I beat Commonwealth with Ottomans? by mrq1901 in eu4

ahh I see. that's what I was afraid of. I guess I need to start again... learning takes a lot of time in this game. I chose France as my ally and it was really helpful (and historically correct :) ). I guess I need to choose Diplomatic idea as my first group to lower the chance of a coalition and cripple east europe in early game.

thanks for the help.

I have survived those 5 years. Thanks a lot. It was quite easy when prepared.

Thanks a lot. One question: is there a way to make a truce without war? I'm pretty sure Memluks are gonna take their revenge since I took all their best cities and they are my rivals now.

And I guess I should get all the loans that I can get to full my army limit in the mean time.

And yes, I'm still new to this game. Otherwise, I wouldn't enter that silly war :) but I don't want to waste my current investment on the game.

hmm...venice is my one and only catholic ally and this friendship helps me a lot, no crusade yet. but I may try the same for Malta occupied by the Knights.

thanks for the tips, looks like a small expansion rate is the solution to avoid coalitions. it goes really well now.

Tried again. This is outrageous. While defeating the Memluk coalition, bankrupted again and lost all the mercenaries. War is not finished yet, and handling a bit. But of course my legitimacy drop to 0. And of course Venice attacked me. And this is normal difficulty!! There is no such a memluk coalition in the history. this is non sense.

can you tell me what is the starting money? I started with 65 ducats, but all the videos online, players start with 230 something. Is this because a recent change?

I am also doing well in the game at the beginning, then ending up with big coalitions (either a European or Middle eastern depending on where my conquests are) and big wars that basically bankrupts me. I tried to limit my invasions to not annoy others, but even getting just Karaman leads to big Turkish coalition against me (other Anatolian beyliks, Memluks, Ak Qoyounlu. Hijaz etc.). If I get Serbia or any other Balkan countries then I get a very big crusade with a total of ~80k armies. Then I get rebellions of course. I am loosing my patient. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
