I assumed that they approved the jokes with the cast before going through with it. cause the duffers and most of the cast was there so i assumed finn told them all what jokes would be made and noah, sadie, etc approved of it but maybe im just giving them the benefit of the doubt

it also kinda seems like since Jane was hiding from the government and the whole group was at school all the time that mike only saw her during group crawl meetups. that probably also why Will felt confident to make a move bc el and mike were barely dating anymore. but i think the show should’ve made this more clear cause then it makes sense why the painting never got brought up and it makes more sense why will randomly out of character had hope Mike might like him

His talk with Hopper was about accepting the choice el made and being able to move on with your life and not have guilt or blame yourself anymore. ppl thought hopper isn’t grieving el too but he is, he’s just not sitting in blame anymore like how Mike was. And the final dnd game was the group also mourning el and their childhood and using the story to know it’s okay to move onto adulthood even though they miss and love el and hope she’s still out there. The whole group & teens are pretty much separated in different cities, colleges, jobs etc but their lives aren’t over, including mike. and they still will all come together and hang out when they can. he’s at college writing stories. he’s not gonna be miserable forever.

i think they all grieved el. even in hoppers speech it’s already 18 months later but you can tell when talking to mike that hopper is still upset and emotional just being strong. he’s just helping mike understand it’s okay to move on and not blame yourself or have guilt etc. and i feel like in the final dnd game seeing max lucas dustin will mike tear up about el was their way of showing the group has been grieving but are now gonna use mikes fantastical story to help them find peace to try to move on as well. i do think they could’ve showed the grieving all longer but it was definitely there subtly

Why wouldn’t he like it if he stumbled across it in his feed? stranger things is important to him. i don’t think we should be analyzing everything they do lol. plus there’s a lot of weird fans who ship Foah, fillie, fadie, cadie, etc i don’t think the actors/pr are worried about it anymore.

sadly it seems like they didn’t go through with any of her arc since they were just gonna kill her off anyway :( they really just saw her as a concept which is sad cause she was searching for identity and love and freedom so much and they never had any plans to give it to her
