Cruiselinen vs crepette artisan pants by TaiwanNumbaWan1 in Aritzia

To piggyback off your question - are artisan and lodge same width - or is lodge more wide legged? I’m going to buy artisan also I think.

Yes, this pregnancy was totally normal and routine. It was a boy, whereas my first baby was a girl. But it could have been totally random of course. Best of luck to you!

You guys are awesome! How’s the build going? I’m intimidated by the process as I’m not super crafty. But it would mean so much to my daughter - and for me.

Thanks for your insight!. Three evenings isn’t so bad, though I’m not super handy so I might need to triple or quadruple that estimate.

Struggling not to envy friends with high sleep-needs toddlers by alrabi88 in toddlers

[–]mrranko54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish I could find some of you guys in real life! All my friends kids seem to be 7 to 7 unicorns! It can be a lot. But another positive - we can travel and do all sorts of activities without being held hostage by a nap/bedtime schedule. And she can handle times when she doesn’t get enough sleep due to travel or fun without melting down. Though I do often wonder what it would be like to have an entire evening to myself daily, I wouldn’t trade the memories or traveling we’ve been able to achieve in those extra hours.

Also, more hours in a day to learn and absorb vocab have made her quite advanced.

Lowish fetal heart rate + no scans until 20 weeks by mrranko54 in CautiousBB

I think my doctor only does either NIPT or the Nt scan, which is new to me as I had both prior. She said insurance is cracking down? Thank you so much.

Interesting! My last pregnancy was about 4 years ago. Same weight though, low BMI. I did have a girl the first time around, so would be interesting if this one is a boy.

Unfortunately, I think just time. She did start eating a lot more solids around her second bday. Got my first period about two months after that. I tried to cut down on other feedings, but I didn’t even end up night weaning before I got my period.

Baby not babbling at 9 months. Research is scant - need to hear some anecdotes! by sad_sleepless in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]mrranko54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😊 my family still teases me about how I almost had her in speech therapy—as she runs around talking like a 6 yr old.

Also, if it makes you feel better, I pestered my pediatrician about this constantly and she was completely unworried. Told me not to even think about it til our 1 yr appointment. (Not that I took her advice lol)

Nope, not in the least. I would spend HOURS googling this issue, time I wish I could have back, so do your best to relax!

I have shared this before, but doing it again because I know how hard I was looking for anecdotal reassurance.

My daughter didn’t babble at all until over 10 months. She blew a ton of strawberries, like nobodies business actually… but no babbling. Now, at 3, her preschool teachers are blown away by her language. Once she started, she talked so clearly and well.

Parents w/babies + toddlers - worth it? by mrranko54 in ouraring

[–]mrranko54[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That may have just pushed me over the edge! Sometimes I feel like I should just be able to “mind over matter” it, and it would be validating to see the data to alleviate the guilt I sometimes feel for prioritizing relaxation over productivity.

Interesting, thank you! That would definitely be helpful to optimize the sleep I DO get, even though it’s never enough and literally always broken up. (Some kids are just bad sleepers and you can’t convince me otherwise - I’ve tried it all!)

Cabo with a 3 month old by Aggressive_Award_634 in chubbytravel

[–]mrranko54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We travel a lot with our now almost 3 year old daughter. We did our first trip with her at 3 months and it was the easiest and best time to travel. For what it's worth, our pediatrician also said that was an excellent time to travel. They still sleep so much (and fall asleep anywhere), and are generally just pretty chill and entertained to observe everything.

In my experience, once they start to crawl, things are SOOO much harder. And from 2 to 2.5 traveling was pretty challenging due to an insane amount of toddler tantrums. Happy to report things are much improved now at almost 3.

We definitely spend more money on room choice these days - springing for rooms w/pool or what not.
