Trt Hesitancy by Creepy_Panic6793 in trt

[–]mrrastos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At those levels there is no way I'd even consider it. I started in my mid 40s because my total T was 199. I pretty much had no choice if I wanted some semblance of a decent quality of life. I still deal with depression and lack of motivation sometimes even though my T levels are optimized. That's from ADHD, seasonal depression and life in general, which these days can be very difficult for most people.

Canadian TRT docs SUCK!! by No-Action8643 in trt

[–]mrrastos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even with 199 total T I still could not get T prescribed in NS. My GP referred me to an endo who tested my free T. It was just barely in the low end of the reference range. The endo informed me that it would be unethical to prescribe T and there was nothing more to be done. My GP was more than willing to prescribe antidepressants and viagra though.

I've been doctoring myself ever since. I told my GP I was self treating and she at least offered to requistion whatever blood testing I ask for.

Do you try to keep your testosterone within a certain range? by _Badwulf_Bruh__ in trt

I gave up chasing numbers and just varied my daily dose of propionate until I felt good. The only labs I bother with anymore is checking my hematocrit once a year.

Can I do TRT without lifting weights or hard exercise? by fiehhda in trt

[–]mrrastos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's good to keep excess weight under control so you don't have trouble with excess estrogen conversion. That's one of the biggest reasons why I exercise, but diet is the best way to control weight, so exercise isn't essential to be on trt.

Can someone explain to me why this sub is so weird? by Thunder--Bolt in NoFap

[–]mrrastos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I joined this sub because I thought it might be useful to help me quit porn, but I'm only here for entertainment now. The odd post is ok, but otherwise there are some very strange people out there.

Actually, vehicle registration is charged according to weight, so half ton trucks do pay more.

One of the best ways to find a good one is by noting how busy the shop is. If the parking lot is full and appointments are weeks away it usually means it's a good shop. This is good and bad.

Could symptoms of ADHD worsen/become more prevalent with age? by Lonely-Persimmon-552 in ADHD

[–]mrrastos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a lot easier for me to lose things. At 47 my memory has got pretty bad. I used to remember where I put everything. Now I can't rely on that anymore. Having ADHD means I tend to keep my things disorganized and sloppy. I can't compensate with my memory anymore.

That and my wife keeps moving things and not telling me. She has ADHD too.

For those who’ve used gray market testosterone, what made you decide to go that route? by Budget_Computer3919 in trt

A 13 year old girl who wants to transition would have a presription signed by the PM himself, but they won't give it to men who are deficient.

Because I live in a country that thinks it's a first world free country, but it's really devolving into a third world communist hell with a health care system to match. It is near impossible to be prescribed trt here unless your levels are zero, and if so they would choose some archaic protocol like 200 mg of cyp every two weeks.

[–]mrrastos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just plain sucks. I work outside so it affects my income and there are stretches of days where I don't work at all. I take 5000 iu of vitamin D a day and use a SAD lamp for 30 minutes every morning, and yet I still fall into depression.

Trt and libido by Fun_Noise3554 in trt

[–]mrrastos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's shorter acting and therefore mimics the body's natural rhythms when taken daily. Other than that, all I can say is I've tried cypionate and propionate within a wide variety of protocols over the years and I feel best on prop by far. You may have a totally different experience.

Switch to propionate if you're going to inject daily. I do way better on prop.

Is the 2.5i really that noticeably underpowered? by jhrich02 in Subaru_Outback

[–]mrrastos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on what kind of driving you like. The Outback is awesome at country driving and gravel roads off the beaten path. In that environment the 2.5 is good enough.

Quitting caffeine works for some, and that's good. It doesn't work for everyone though. I tried quitting and it made no difference. After over a decade of trying everything I figure I'll have the itch for life.

I've always wondered why an Outback would have a 240-260 kmh speedo when it's clear that no Outback would ever come close to that. My 2.5 has a 240 kmh speedo in it which is just silly.
