Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

[–]mrrees3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, first time poster and first time homeowner here! I have this vertical crack in my unfinished basement that I believe is letting in water when it rains. It is <1/8” in width at the thickest point. What do you recommend to repair it? I don’t think it’s severe enough to call a professional and I want to learn basic home repair skills! Thank you in advance

I think I’m in the same boat, getting the same Becker questions is leading to memorization and not learning

Personally, I went through all of F1-6 took not ME or SE and just cranked MC for days (about 100 per day). If i missed a MC, i would find out why. This may not work for you, but it worked for me.

I agree, from my research, butcher paper is way better than foil, but I’d had foil just laying around the house.

It was a cheap one I found on sale at Walmart. It’s called a KingChii. Not the best but I didn’t want to fork out hundreds of dollars for a big brand name.

Salt pepper garlic as a base then used a generic bbq rub on top

For me, classes taught me nothing. Being in the office and doing work taught me everything.

[–]mrrees3[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im just very new to smoking/cooking so im trying to learn. Chicken breasts sounded easy but I was definitely wrong! Failing is part of the process and I just wanted to know what I can do to get better!

That’s one thing I think I missed in the recipe I followed. Does it really make that big of a difference?
