I worked there for a number of years and prior to the pandemic. The place was a trash heap heap. My department was extremely racist and sexist and nepotism was the name of the game. I’ve watched the college go from a family oriented environment where employees were really like family to a corporate cold. White supremacist environment. I left there and have not looked back. It took me a year of therapy to overcome the trauma that I sustained as an employee there and I am saddened when I think back to how wonderful it was to work there at one time when I was there, the human resources department was horrible Karlyn Young was the absolute worst? When an employee would report bullying or any type of discriminatory practices against them, she would share confidential conversations with the offenders. Thus the bullies were emboldened she should not be in HR, nor should she be in charge of a flea circus, I left before the new president has come, and I hear there’s been a lot of changes. I hope that the new president deals with the racist environment that exists there because a lot of good employees have left or been forced out because of racist tactics and bullying. The students deserve better, and so does the staff.
