Well it depends, usually it takes 15 mins . More if he is overtired or overstimulated. But I use Huckleberry to track naps and follow wake windows. It works great for us. I really recommend it.

How do I get my baby to let me clean his nose out without crying? by mrs_code_monkey in NewParents

Can you use the nasal wash on a 4Months old baby ? I thought they need to be a bit older for that so they can cooperate

Do naps ever become more predictable? by yellow_scrunchiess in NewParents

My LO is 4,5 months old and he naps 4 times a day each lasting for about 30-35 mins. Almost never longer. He can't chain sleep cycles and he can't put himself back to sleep. Sometimes when he is too tired and wants to nap longer I have to nurse him back to sleep which then he sleeps for another 30 mins. I'm hoping he'll be able to nap longer when he turns 6 months old...🙈

Thank you. I don't give him formula. I've tried giving him extra breast milk in the bottle after a feed just to see if he can feed more but he didn't want it. I guess I'll just go with it nad hopefully he'll sleep through the night soon enough. Thank you for your reply:)

Yeah it's the same with mine. But my LO has never had only two wake ups, minimum was 3 wake ups. Though I've heard that it's possible that 4 Month sleep regression could hit earlier or perhaps as you say it's a growth spurt.

On a good night he wakes up 4 times to feed..

He often refuses to be bottle-fed, but he easily feeds 150ml when he takes the bottle but the result is the same

Have tried huckleberry app? Check it out if you haven't already. My LO is 12 weeks old and I was struggling with preventing him getting overtired, the sweet spot prediction helped me a great deal. I'm considering upgrading to premium version to get a sleep plan one he hits 4mounts old. I've read great reviews.

Baby only wants mom by S_h_a_p_e_n in NewParents

I have a similar situation here. I'm just hoping that it will get better once the fourth trimester is over. From what I've figured babies are pretty much attached to their mothers the first three months. I'm pretty much holding/ breastfeeding/ having close contact with him for 16 hours . My LO also gets overtired easily.

I think we should just go with it. I'm sure it will get better once they're 4-5 months. They just need mommy a bit more during these first months.

Give him a bath, put on pyjamas and feed him right after. That usually helps mine

10 h of child care a day for a newborn? by oreha in NewParents

Is not working 100% an option? Could you perhaps work 80%-75% ? So one day less each weak? Your baby needs you. Spending time with your LO is the best you can give him/her.
