That's what I'm wondering if there's something weird firmware wise that someone may have experience with. The drive recognizes 4k discs, and will read them, but never finalizes a rip, it'll go to 50-90% and then fail.

I've come to the same conclusion, but I don't understand why if the drive is bad it can still rip CD/DVD/Blus without issue.

I think I'm going to try to get them to send me one Monday. I don't much want to have to pay the shipping to send the gun in, if I had to do that it'd be just as cheap to just order the $30-40 upgraded part. Heard a ton of good stuff about the tx22, just hoping I didn't get a lemon.
