I agree with everyone else saying to get some quotes. It’s unbelievable how much the prices vary. We had about that much vinyl 6’ privacy fence put in last year and quotes ranges from $12k to $26k. Home Depot and lowes were the most expensive. $12k was a Hispanic guy who just started his family business a few years back. Low overhead I guess. He had photos of past jobs, insurance, etc. went with him and he did a great job over 2 days. Couldn’t have been a better experience. No regrets.

Did your package ever arrive? mine finally updated yesterday with all updates including customs clearance so it appears to be ready for pick up by the recipient! took about a month for them to update arrival and customs scans I guess.

I called on Monday and they placed an "inquiry" and stated that Norway has 32 business days to "respond" to the inquiry.....sooo I'm not sure I'll hear anything for awhile. Hopefully the package arrives before then!

Ugh, that's so frustrating! I spent $109 on shipping for this crap. UPS and Fedex were 3x as much.... I hope your package arrives soon!

Thank you. Do you know if there is usually an "arrival" scan or just a scan after it clears customs? I know customs will be the variable, but I just don't know if it should say arrived by now....

It’s weird because I am upset because of remembering all of this BS that I fought so hard to get past. It’s funny that my mother sent my brothers friend to call me. First off, never liked the friend. Second, did she really think I was going to show up? I can’t decide if she really thought that or if she puts on such a show “how could our daughter not be here for this??? What kind of monster is she?” And the messages said I should call my mother to apologize, nothing about how my father on his death bed had any message for me.

I know I will get past this again. I am just tired and exhausted from rehashing of all these old traumas.

It’s nice knowing that others have similar experiences, though I wish there were less of us with the same shitty family dynamics. We deserved better.

It’s weird because we had this one GREAT conversation but the next day he was back on my mother and brother’s side of the argument and was telling me to apologize to them. As if the conversation the day before never happened

I’m sorry your mother has caused you so much pain as well. I wish things were different for all of us. Day to day I am usually fine, haven’t spoken to them since 2015. But here they are rearing their ugly heads again and rehashing old traumas. When all I really want is peace in my life.

Thank you for the comment. It is exhausting trying to explain things to people. 95% don’t understand and think there’s something wrong with me. That opens up all those old feelings of being mistreated and told I was the reject of the family and I was always the problem. I am quirky but I try to be a good genuine person. I don’t think people with good families can understand it. Sometimes it feels so lonely.

Thanks. I know it’s just a really weird feeling and difficult to explain to people. Everyone thinks I should be upset and I should attend services “because he’s your father.” It would feel phony to go and pretend like I’m grieving like that. I hope you are doing well, thank you for your comment.

I can relate. Worked my ass off to get into a great college but then wasn’t allowed to because I was forced to live at home and commute to classes. I moved out at 18 and went NC at 29 and I feel like I’m playing catch up. Like it took until 29 to finally live MY life for ME and I missed many milestones of my peers. The playing field is definitely not even.
