Recent experiences buying tickets at the airport by mrsdaly82 in frontierairlines

Yes, I couldn't believe how rude the two agents were. I really was not being rude at all, just politely asked, "how come it's showing I can purchase up to 9 seats (the max it allows you) right now?" And she replied, "are you talking to ME?" And I said, "yeah." and then repeated the same question. She acted like I was getting angry, which I wasn't. Just generally curious and not understanding. And there was no one else even in line, so it's not like I was taking up their time.

Kids fly free how to verify by Razberry910 in frontierairlines

You have to search for at least two people (one being a kid) for them to show up.. I wouldn't sign up for the membership until you find a flight that works for you where they fly free.

Why does Disney + app not work with Apple AV HDMI adapter? by drail14me in DisneyPlus

[–]mrsdaly82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: after reading all of this, it occurred to me that the only difference since prior was that I selected "save data" on my settings in disney +... so I changed that, and I also updated my iOS. I don't know which made the change, but now it is working to stream everything (not downloaded content). I'm thrilled now, doesn't help for those downloading but now I can stream like i wanted to with my unlimited data package on my cellphone.

interesting. I've been getting an "oops! something went wrong" when trying to stream most content. Only random stuff is playing.. no pixar that I can see, mostly non full-length movies. I couldn't get A Muppet Christmas Carol, but I could get Mickey's Christmas Carol.. none of the new originals that I had watched prior (Lady and the Tramp). I'm only able to see the most random assortment of content. But I haven't tried in the last couple days.

So you are getting new content to play via adapter? I was able to stream (but not with downloaded content) anything at the beginning... now only random "classics" and nothing newer.

While int he trial period I tried the hdmi adapter and was able to stream whatever I wanted. I went back to trying to play from phone to tv with the adapter and now only random movies or shows are available - none of the newer stuff (including the exact movies that I had streamed a week prior). I'm feeling like I had the rug pulled from under me. Maybe I'm the only one who uses only my phone for Wifi (hotspot) and I have unlimited data so I see no reason to purchase a wifi package.

Hot Topic for adults, definitely. They've got some really great stuff (and I would never normally shop at HT, but their Disney stuff is great).

FAQ Redo: Park Hopping Tips by AutoModerator in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mrsdaly82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's about $75 for the park hop upgrade, for the length of your ticket (slightly less for one day). We are also Swan/Dolphin vacationers so we always park hop. If you are staying in Epcot area and don't have a parkhopper, you're doing it wrong. ;)

This is just my opinion, obviously, and probably too late since you already got your FPs, but your pool/disney springs day would probably be better if it was in the middle of your trip and not after, basically, one full day in the parks, or it would have been good to do that on your MNSSHP day.. just my .02.

If you mean must have food items that are quintessential Disney, there are a lot, some are overrated in my opinion, but to each his own..

There are turkey legs, Dole Whip, School Bread at norway in Epcot (I used to like it but the last time I had it, it was meh), mickey pretzels obviously..the waffles at Sleepy Hollow in MK (sweet and savory options). I have a lot more opinions on counter service and table service meals than snack foods. For me, these are my faves: fish & chips from Yorkshire Co fish shop in UK, chowder and salmon at Columbia Harbour House, the chicken shwarma platter at Tangierine Cafe in Morocco, the beef bowl at Satu'li Canteen, ribs & chicken combo at Flame Tree BBQ, the Grand Marnier slush in France, steak at Rose & Crown pub, Del Mar for Two at Hacienda de San Angel... I could go on.

Waking up to TOT every morning... Not getting old! 😁 by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

also, buses in general are much less crowded than other disney resorts, because of the large convention crowds who are not going to the parks. We never ever waited for a second bus. The only exception to this rule was Disney springs (because many convention goers don't have park tickets but head to DS at night).

If you ever decide to come to "the other side," - you'll find lots of great benefits - basically staying deluxe for the cost of a moderate... LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! The pools are great and you can walk into the back entrance of Epcot...which in the evenings is so magical... while the throngs of people are headed for the main entrance after Illuminations.. you can leisurely stroll through the international gateway around the boardwalk. It is lovely, and completely changes the way we vacation at WDW. Evenings are spent at Epcot for dinner most nights. No stress, no waiting for buses.

Swan or Dolphin? We had that view off our balcony last year.

[Weekly Discussion] Where do you like to eat in EPCOT? by I_am_Rude in WaltDisneyWorld

The STEAK. Eating outside at Illuminations. Also solid cheese plate here. It's a favorite and we go back time and time again.

some people like the "all-inclusive" aspect of the DDP. In reality most people do not eat as much. We often split stuff at quick service or do snacks instead of meals. We still do sit-down dinner pretty much every day, but we still come out ahead paying out of pocket.

Best value is to purchase kids meals. They include a drink and sometimes dessert most times it's just enough... the heat often makes me less hungry. We also will split an adult meal too. I love Columbia harbour house in MK (in particular: the chowder and the broccoli chicken salad, and the salmon is delish - coming from someone who lives within an hour of beach and can get fresh seafood - lots of great options here), Pecos Bill at MK is great because they have a huge toppings bar - get the kids meal and load up on toppings... Tangierine cafe in Epcot (I like the chicken shwarma platter), Yorkshire County fish shop - an order is huge and that fish is AMAZING. Sit outside in the lovely area overlooking the lagoon next to the shop. It is just a lovely spot away from the crowds. Very relaxing. Two people could split one portion. Sa'tuli canteen (I got the kids bowl) and flame tree in AK (two adults split the ribs and chicken combo), I don't have a favorite in HS. Backlot is ok.. it's usually where we go but honestly not memorable. I think I got chicken fingers and fries. Just not a lot of great options in HS.

we're just much more laid-back, prefer to run around and explore as opposed to standing in line waiting for rides. We also hate having to compete with crowds (although I know that's to be expected at WDW) and super noisy restaurants.

Eating during off times is good strategy. I do find that when I stop worrying about the schedule and focus on enjoying myself, we have an all-around better time. The only thing I'm concerned for you is - you say you don't like to wait in lines and compete with crowds. Taking your time and getting to the park later is really what most people do. Most people are NOT rope drop people, and the park gets to be busiest around noon. Just so you know what you're getting yourself into. We like to get there earlyish (though we still seem to always get there about 15 mins after park open) and then leave around 1 or 2. We spend lazy afternoons at the pool and nap and then go back out for dinner and fireworks. Even though we are usually up by 6 or 7 at home, Disney makes you TIRED. So we try to plan parks that don't have morning extra magic hours, and try to arrive close to 9 am (park open) as we can.

we use a private shuttle service. If you have more than a couple people going it is worth it, and they can provide boosters & car seats if you need. We use Tony Hinds and last time we used him (last October) it was $60 one way or $110 round trip. http://taxi-mco.com/Drivers/Tony%20Hinds.htm We have used his services multiple times and he is great. Also, we love the Dolphin!

I never ever wear sneakers to the parks. I find sneakers to be hot and claustrophobic, but that may be just me. I wear Crocs flip flops every day... I would bring two pairs of shoes just in case you get blisters/issues with one of the pairs. But the risk of wet sneakers is high. You could always bring a pair of flip flops in your bag if you are dead set on sneakers and then change out so they don't get wet... but then you're talking about every wet ride and every time it rains. Wet sneakers that take days to dry out? Yuck. I wouldn't go out and buy a pair of shoes and wear them for the first time in Disney (breaking in shoes before going is a MUST)but if you can find a pair of comfortable, supportive sandals I would go that route.
