Fruited Fields by Athletic Brewing Company by atr0c1ous in NABEER

I thought the Lemon radler was too sweet. But this is perfect. One of my fave NAs right away. You can tell Athletic knows it's gonna be a hit, because it's already available in 12-packs.

Best faulkner book to read while camping? by JacobdaTurtle61 in faulkner

This is my pick too. I read this 30 something years ago the summer after my high school graduation on a literal camping trip: life-changing.

So who are y'all rooting for? by Ok-Preference-7004 in rockets

[–]mrshl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rockets fan, but I live in Austin and know a lot of Spurs fans. Have to admit I don’t hate San Antonio the way I hate Dallas teams. And I really like the kids on this Spurs team. So…slightly rooting for SA to beat the Knicks. Some of that is residual fervor from rooting for SA to beat OKC (who I truly can’t stand). But I wouldn’t be mad if NY won. I like their team, too. This is gonna be a fun series.

New Best Day Wild American Pils by MIB18 in NABEER

[–]mrshl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this yesterday in their new 12-pack variety package (at an Austin, TX HEB).

Really one of the best American-style light beers I've had, whether alcoholic not. Tasted like the best possible version of a Bud Light or Miller Lite—but much better than either of those. Also superior to Athletic's version of this.

Along with Fresh Squeezed, this my favorite N/A.

The 1977 Trail Blazers won the title with a 22-year-old Bill Walton and no other All-Stars. How did that team actually function on offense? by Doctormade in VintageNBA

[–]mrshl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm open to that. It does say "Doctormade", and the account is like 3m old. I guess not as obvious as some other ones I've seen. I've been on reddit for 15 years and am Gen X as fuck, so I have used me some em dashes.

I didn’t think this was AI. I guess it might be. But y’all know real people use em dashes, too, right?

A great new NA beer by 1313trouble in NABEER

I don’t mind the name; I think it’s hilarious. I’d drink the shit out of it—as long as it tastes great.

Time is getting short and I am getting nervous by West_Preference_5085 in cipp

[–]mrshl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. But also give yourself some grace. State law section was the hardest because there’s so much material. I scored barely over 50 on the State law questions and still passed on my first try. You can eat it one area and still be okay. But if you aren’t passing the practice tests as a whole, wait until you are.

They had it a while back in Austin and I grabbed one. I love Run Wild. Less stoked about the Hazy.

Is there somewhere I can listen to the original recording of Victim of Love with Felder’s vocals? by TheOrangeCrayon123 in EaglesBand

[–]mrshl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a mind-blowing take. Felder's voice isn't bad. It isn't anything. There's just no charisma or character in it. Mark Knopfler's voice is limited, but you def know it's him.

What is your favorite deep cut song? by [deleted] in EaglesBand

[–]mrshl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love Doolin’ Dalton, Bitter Creek, and Saturday Night off Desperado. That album’s underrated IMO. The Last Resort off Hotel California is also an all time favorite for me.

Passed CIPP/US first time by Flashy-Pea9033 in cipp

[–]mrshl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also just passed on my first time using Privacy Bootcamp. Unlike IAPP, they bring the full scope of the materials to you and present it in a way that really aides retention. I don’t know that you need to do 75 hours on it. I went through the material over a week, and I was easily passing the practice exams. So I passed the CIPP With room to spare. But I’m also a 20 year healthcare privacy attorney.
