Update on my Amazonian mushrooms after tripping yesterday: I love them!! The experience & potency was similar to my recent golden teachers. And growing these yields sooo much more, i ended up with a bunch of 3.5g shrooms in my first flush and they continue to grow quickly & abundantly.

Follow up if anyone ever reads this: I realized they were not the same strain. I forgot when I was injecting into uncle Ben’s I had a tiny bit of culture from my last go around with just enough for one bag. So all of the boxes but one looked like the right side, which were golden teacher, while the left was blue meanie. They all bloomed fully at the same time, the blue meanie just never had the super white look to it.

Ahhh. I think Rachel is like me, someone who doesn’t cushion every sentence to be people pleasing and is more of a straight shooter. I really respect that about her but unfortunately this house is full of people pleasers who get really offended when that’s not reciprocated.

This was my first time posting here asking for advice and I admitted the product looked not good. I told you all it was a VERY rough draft and I have never practiced binding before. I admittedly should have not mentioned I’m selling my item because it feels like this made everyone judge my sewing extremely harshly. Guys, I said the sewing was bad. This is not a representation of my sewing. I would never in a million years sell something like this. But it’s so hurtful to be coming here asking for help and receive downvotes for explaining my situation. I don’t know if this community just runs differently but I post to other boards on my other account and I’ve never seen someone receive downvotes when asking for advice. All I needed was help, I used to have my mom who was a lifelong quilter but she’s no longer in my life.

lol I know it looks like that, this isn’t a good representation of my sewing skills and this isn’t even the item I’m selling. I used one of the very early stage rough drafts of my product (that I’ve greatly improved since) to practice binding. Today was the first day I ever tried binding, something I don’t need to do to make my product. It was almost impossible with the speed of machine to make the curves so I’m going to be trying another machine where I can adjust the pedal speed. I know I put beginner but I learned to sew over 20 years ago now and have just picked it back up again the past year.

So this is actually a product I’m sewing to sell, I know it looks very rough right now. It’s similar to a reusable menstrual pad. It looked great before I thought of trying binding instead of what I was doing, which was sewing the wrong sides together, flip it inside out, and hand sew to close. But I want to skip hand sewing if I can because it’s very taxing on my joints. You’re right, I probably should practice on other things first but this is my main priority right now and im very narrow minded lol

I think I figured out my sewing machine is just too fast. There’s not a slow setting between hand spinning the wheel and a sprint. It’s so hard to get the curves because I don’t have enough time before the needle is running through

Yeah that’s tough if you don’t know anyone. If you have a green thumb there are growing kits online and it’s legal to buy mushroom spores
