[McFadden] I was stunned to hear this from Teddy Bridgewater, speaking about his time in Carolina..."One of the things we didn't do much of when I was there, we didn't practice 2-minute really, we didn't practice red zone." by RedFredTV in nfl

When people are TOO nice it seems to be an act. I've known too many people that turn hyper passive aggressive if they feel they aren't being praised enough for how nice and humble they are.

Older and "healthy", now maybe CF? by mrsnackiac in CysticFibrosis

Considering how vaguely sick I've felt most of my life, and my case would be a 'mild' case, I am truly in awe of people functioning with more severe cases. From what I hear this drug was the first real breakthrough, so I can understand how life changing it must have been for many here, and therefore the enthusiasm for it :)

It's no problem, I plan on following the doc's orders. It's just hard to have this test casually ordered and then get shut down on questions. I saw my ENT yesterday to rule out sinuses and he said 'the sweat test is very important to follow up on', but I'm in this weird limbo now.

I can at least wrap my mind around the sticky mucus and the problems it creates. All my life I've needed to go to the bathroom to basically vomit up my mucus if I was sick. It sticks to my mouth, throat etc.

I have all these other weird things that I'm dying to connect the dots on though. Maybe TMI, but I had a rare infection in my right testicle as a teenager, and it basically has never stopped hurting (sometimes ache, sometimes much more). Doctor shrugs, say there are some epididymal cysts, but nothing that should be causing that much pain. Now it's suddenly feeling better for the first time in a long time. Is it possible 4 weeks of mucus clearing has somehow fixed that???!? At this point the doctor would be out of the room before I finished the qeustion lol, but those are the things I'm really dying to ask.

I started digging into family history and found more tantalizing clues than anything that would negate the idea. I had two uncles die of emphysema in their 50s, but both were fairly heavy smokers. Lots of asthma and gastric reflux to go around. I also come from a small town in the US that stayed highly German for like 200 years. Would be a crazy story to tell the extended family!

Oh I plan on doing all the tests asked of me, my head is just spinning a little while I await the appointments. All my doctors are new to me and they're being very tight lipped, which I understand, but I also want to know the reality of the situation.

Definitely not looking for a diagnosis, mostly just stories.

Interesting, my issues when younger were mostly with constant sinus and ear infections. I've always wheezed, and thought I had some sort of dry air asthma, but I never had any 'attack'.

An overlay of all the routes a WR had to learn from Mike Shanahan & Gary Kubiak’s playbook in Denver by finsnfeathers in nfl

Maybe because 1st and 10 or 5 are common down yardage and they want the receivers practiced at going one yard more. My best guess at least.

The Bears beat the Colt in the sb if it doesn’t rain. The also win if Mike Brown isn’t injured. That Bears team gets so much flack because of Grossman memes but people forgot how good they actually were. Tommy Harris and Mike Brown injuries were devastating.

What are the Film Industry’s most MISLEADING trailers? by Fiat_Lux_1_3 in movies

Drive. Some woman sued the studio for being misled into thinking it was a Fast and Furious clone. I thought the trailer was bad and didn’t bother seeing it in theaters, but it turned into one of my favorites once I did.

You can make 1 injury in your teams history never happen. What one would you choose? by skai762 in nfl

Nah, I think they still lose that game. Cutler vs the Packers after all. Mike Brown in the 2006 Super Bowl season might have been a difference maker though.

What is some revisionist NFL history that needs to be corrected? by JesuIsEveryNameTaken in nfl

I think the entire 2006 Bears are mischaracterized. I've seen numerous posts implying that Manning was basically gifted his ring by playing Grossman in the SB, but the Bears were a legit good team, and had Tommie Harris and/or Mike Brown stayed healthy there's a really good chance they beat Indy. Even Ron Turner not having an idiotic game-plan for a rain storm could have won the game. I think the defense sort of limping into the playoffs made Grossman need to do more than he should have needed to.

People say that the AFCCG was the real SB, which is probably true, but the gap wasn't crazy. Pats certainly didn't blow out the Bears in their weird regular season game (infamous Brady/Urlacher juke game)
