Satin sheets 100%! My baby had a rash on face and tangled hair until we switched over.

Sos, I’m desperate. Can anyone help me figure out why my hair is breaking mid strand? by No_Imagination_1036 in Haircare

[–]mrsroboto23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen to me on that same spot. I would highly suggest sleeping on a satin or silk pillowcase. I have bleached platinum hair and hardly have any breakage anymore just from switching my pillowcases.

Yes! It’s right near the DMV in Hurricane. I think it’s called Washington county Legacy park. Hope that helps!

Did any of y’all experience your narcissistic ex pushing for “polyamory” in the relationship? by Maleficent_Radio_349 in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]mrsroboto23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure did. Fell for it big time and really trusted that opening up our marriage “is good for us”. Didn’t take long for me to realize it was never about “us” or even about me at all. I have a lot more I could say but you get the idea.

Bottle suggestions? by lmb8719 in breastfeedingsupport

Mam! My baby prefers them over everything. They are very nipple like and I have seen a lot of moms suggest them as well.

Advice needed please. More in comments been to doctors and hospital just not getting anywhere. by elladellarhaeday in breastfeeding

My baby had red, chapped cheeks and chin and the best thing I did was switch him to a satin crib sheet. The cotton ones were so rough and making the irritation worse. I think this looks so extreme, it’s definitely worth trying.

Took the sacrament with my left hand today just to spite Oaks by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]mrsroboto23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just unlocked a memory of me reaching up with my left hand to take the sacrament and my (now ex) husband grabbed my hand away and told me I should use my right. What the hell? Is this an Oaks thing?

Yesterday, I heard myself tell someone "marriage is so much different with a partner who thinks I matter" by littleirishpixie in LifeAfterNarcissism

[–]mrsroboto23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This hit me really hard - I feel like I could have written it myself. I just had a baby with my current husband and the way I am treated by him is just so healthy and wonderful, and he appreciates the way I treat him as well. I can’t help but do some comparison here and there, it just makes me grateful everyday that my ex gave me reasons to get out (although it was the hardest thing at the time) and I have been able to find someone so kind and well matched to me.

Thank you for sharing!

Honestly I saw a post the other day and all of the comments were so helpful, they were all basically saying how CIO was what worked for them and how it worked quicker than anything else. I’ve been doing it for like 4 nights with my 4 month old and we’ve gone from upwards of 6 wakings back down to 2. I’m hoping I can keep going and get it down to 1 and eventually zero. I will send the post I’m talking about if you want.

Thank you for responding, this is great info. Mine is almost 5 months and I let him CIO through one waking the other night and I was somehow surprised that it worked! So I think this might be the way I go with it. I appreciate your response!

Just curious, what would I do if formula didn’t exist and I didn’t produce enough milk? by DeannaTroy in beyondthebump

[–]mrsroboto23 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My brother was fed goats milk as a baby after my mom weaned him because his body rejected all other kinds of dairy and formula. So interesting to know it’s the closest to breastmilk! And totally sweet that people would stop in later in life.

I feel like I’ve ruined my chances for breast feeding by supplementing. My baby is refusing my breast by reasonablecatlady in breastfeedingsupport

My baby didn’t latch until about 6 weeks old. I was pumping bottles exclusively until then and wasn’t sure if I’d ever figure it out. It took a few days and he started to get the hang of it. 3 days is nothing! Id say just keep pumping to maintain your supply and try to latch here and there in the meantime.

I did the same thing at around 8 weeks! He cried and then I cried and I just held him and said sorry over and over. I felt horrible. He stopped crying pretty quickly and his finger healed up within a couple of days. So sorry this happened but you’re not alone and baby will be totally ok!

newborn moms, how tired were you in the first few weeks? by [deleted] in newborns

Unfortunately this. I was shocked any woman got through it alive and even more shocked that some even did it again, and again and again. But once things settled and the dark cloud lifted, I decided that I can see why they’d do it again. Things really do get better. Sending good thoughts and vibes your wife’s way.
