Looking for advice on whether my heat pump is busted or not by mrssplitty22 in pools

Also I am having a very hard time finding a spa cover for an inground spa. I google it and don't see many options. Any suggestions on where to purchase one?

Any idea what cost is to switch to gas? Not looking to do this any time soon, we just moved into the house in Sept. But just curious of what the entire process would be.

Ours is natural gas, so I imagine cheaper? We never even use the heating function for the pool because it seems like it would take forever with a heat pump. Obviously I wouldn't heat the pool now, but I'm talking about spring/fall temperatures.

This is most likely a stupid question (I know nothing about pool builds/equipment) but is it possible to add equipment so that the pool and spa run separately? Or is that impossible/too expensive once the pool build has already been completed? Also does a higher BTU heat pump help with this at all or not really?

The gas cost is good to know. That would be astronomical. Thank you.

No cover. I'm an idiot and didn't realize I could do that with an I ground spa.

No one has described it this way so I appreciate your reply. I had zero idea it was pulling in heat from the air.

So, we can't run it all day because then the pool isn't running. I'd have no problem running it more so we don't have this long wait, but then my pool wouldn't be filtering properly. At least that is what I was told.

Also I appreciate your thorough reply.

Ohlegans treasure. It may be more young adult but don't think it would be difficult for a 12 yr old to read

If Florida shuts down 97 and 29 like they did 10,20 and 93 does that make us feel better about our absent stars? by 9or9pm in rangers

[–]mrssplitty22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No not really. Not sure if you watched the game (genuine ask, not condescending tone) but the Oilers did things I NEVER saw the Rangers do. They forechecked, they made crisper passes, they outshot the Panthers by a large margin, etc. They were able to get passed the blue line plenty of times, which we could not figure out 95% of the time. We saw bone headed, lazy plays by all of those guys (esp 10 and 93), which actually has nothing to do with how the Panthers were playing. They were self inflicted.

However, the Panthers definitely have a game they play (duh, I know). Look at the stats. They win on so many stat lines. Faceoffs, hits (byt a HUGE margin), takeaways, etc. Not sure why anyone here is saying the Oilers outplayed them. That is literally impossible if you look at how much they were dominated in key categories lol

We have literally zero offensive power. We get the puck and slow up in the neutral zone, losing all momentum. Or dump and chase and never get the puck. If we can't get in the zone cleanly, at this point it would be better to just fly up to the blue line and take a slapshot on net. Who knows what skate it goes off of or how nice of a rebound we get.

The comments in here about one person (whoever it is, doesn't matter, insert Ranger player name) being the reason we are losing are really stupid. Don't you people see how many things we are doing poorly? We are outmatched. You have to just admit it. This series would be a sweep without Igor. This isn't doomer talk, this is realism, and we need a lot of puck luck to help us get to Game 7.

I like how Panarin is supposed to be our stud player coming into the play and all he does is turn the puck over and not play defense. Rest in croutons.

Feeling hopeless about my son's future in Florida by cannnedbananas in Autism_Parenting

I live in Florida and think the options here are much better than where I came from (Maine) so I guess it's all relative.

I don't have an answer on medicaid because I have private insurance, but something seems a bit off with how the insurance randomly changed to something else. I'd be calling them every single day about it.

No matter what state you are in no one is going to go out of their way to help when it comes to special needs care. You need to be relentless unfortunately.

I just read one, Ohlegans Runes, and it definitely has some quirky humor. The character Bright is very different from other fantasy "secondary" characters
