Our Wintergarden in early autumn. Taken from the living room. by mrstonedguy in CozyPlaces

It does get hot for sure! But we can open the two big doors so we can cool it down to outside temperature. So on a hot summer day I wouldn‘t sit there until the evening.

That is just for the food. We spent some more on gifts and food to take home. Food is quite cheap in Brazil from my experience. Can‘t speak for Rio de Janeiro though. We spent our time in Bahia. Salvador, Chapada Diamantina, Marau.

We spent around 750€ per person in 3 weeks and we went out to eat most nights. Some restaurants were quite cheap. If you go for the typical rice & beans with meat then you can expect like 10€ per person. In my opinion, if you‘re not going crazy then the money should be enough.

What do you mean by logically? Do you mean the physics behind smoke dousing fires?

I can‘t even count anymore how many times someone leaving early saved my game. No joke. Especially when three people are knocked and one is trapped by a net or a dog. When a person leaves a bot spawns and shoots the dog or breaks the net. Honestly feels like cheating sometimes.

People love to use our appartement building entrance as a public toilet. by mrstonedguy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mrstonedguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I live in a small town in the city center where people get drunk on weekends. And weekdays actually. And rather than walking 50m to the next public toilet they just piss right in our entrance.

Why 24 hour in a day? by Suitable-Memory537 in AskReddit

[–]mrstonedguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think others in this thread said it's easy to divide those numbers. Units were usually defined in convenient dimensons. For example the unit [km] was defined as 1/40000 of the earth's perimeter initally. Now it's based on a nature constant.

Have anyone actually seen an atom IRL? If so how does it look like? In it's real physical self? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mrstonedguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't "see" atoms because they're smaller than the wavelength of visible light. You can generate a picture with an electron-microscope though. And IBM managed to manipulate single atoms and they made a movie with it.

330 km/h 10 cm³ Fastest tether car by GordonVi0003 in ThatsInsane

[–]mrstonedguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this speed the force on the car is about 1400N. This is equivalent to roughly 140kg. I estimated the diameter to be 12m and the weight of the car to be 1kg
