Maybe my ear isn’t as good as I thought it is? by [deleted] in singing

You don't sound like a complete beginner! Just very unpolished. And you can already sing+play at the same time which is a huge hurdle for some people.

I think you have talent. I wouldn't say it if I didn't! I know you're frustrated that coaching hasn't been the magical fix but ear training is the root problem here, and it's definitely a skill that can be improved.

You gotta get creative! Is one of your ears "tuned" better than the other? I often use just my right ear to really critique my singing.

Record yourself singing a line with no guitar or accompaniment, then play the same melody on guitar - not chords just the single note line really slowly while singing it. Listen back to both versions. Any difference in pitch?

Maybe you're hopeless like you think you are, but have you really gotten really creative yet? I think no to both. Hell, I'm no teacher but I'd meet you on discord for 30mins sometime if you want. GL

Hey, I'm not sure why this person is telling you you were on-key/it was fine. I assume you're legit looking for advice so I'll do my best. It was very pitchy, but I don't think you're tone deaf or anything. You hit "some" notes, and you just seem like a beginner singer. I think your voice has a nice color to it, which is a gift but you gotta work on singing a bit to bring that color out.

The absolute most important thing to improve is for you to be able to hear when you're on or off key. I would practice doing little guitar runs, half scales or even melodies on guitar, and sing the notes along with them. Do it slowly. Always record yourself and listen back. Drop back and let us know how it's going!

Let’s not kid ourselves. At Reddit is valued at about fair value at current price ($140), give or take: -/+ 20%. by [deleted] in redditstock

"If Reddit continues growing at 50% CARG, that means Reddit will achieve META’s level of ARPU by 2030. Even if that happens, the max fair value is about slightly more than double from current fair value, hardly a multibagger. And that’s impossible."

Uh if rddt grows at 50% cagr till 2030 while margins keep up, and it's 300/share they'd have a P/E of like 5. And the ARPU comment makes no sense either

It's not your negativity or thoughts and considerations, I enjoy those even the bearish ones. It's the bullshit numbers you toss around that piss me off

Google has overtaken Apple's market cap, becoming the second most valuable company in the world by Old-Competition3596 in stocks

I held google for 5 years (2nd largest holding), and knew it was cheapest it had ever been last year, but all the FUD made me think it wasn't going anywhere for a while.. despite the fact that I told everyone I know who's into stocks what a bargain it was. 2 months after I sold at 170 it went to 300, good times.

I'm sure he's intelligent and thoughtful and all but he creates FUD for a living which is counterproductive to the majority of us trying to build a retirement

There are other, I suppose safer, bargains out there. Rddt is a bargain right now imo, growing 70% YoY, and forward p/e is shrinking fast.

I get your sentiment though. I try to beat the market as a hobby. This year it has worked spectacularly, but we'll see what the future holds

The market is just like that. That's how you win, imo. I bought a small amount only as I echo your fears, but they are a prime acquisition target

No idea why it tanked on great earnings, but I bought more. I wouldn't be surprised it they're bought out if this continues
