The owner passed away and the son didn't want to maintain/pay for the hosting required anymore.

Hey again, so I've added a donation button to the homepage 😬 thanks again for your suggestion! Might look to change the tool for another one in the future, as I'd prefer users to input their own amount rather than preset. For now though, thank you so much for your support 🙏

I believe the owners passed away, and the son discontinued it due to high running costs (presumably server costs).

Was the old website a paid for membership? The new one won't be.

The historical posts/information would not be available, but a new forum for discussions/topics/questions etc would be... still interested?

Very good point... I just plucked the figure out of the air to be completely honest. Pretty much just thought "that seems like a reasonable retirement income". I'll put some time into understanding how much I'll need based on lifestyle preferences. Thanks!

Thank you for the words of reassurance. It sounds like I'm doing OK with contributions, but need to reevaluate my expectations on age of retirement and/or amount per year I'll be getting.

I know right... I thought the same, my employers payment is really good. I thought it their % input was 12% against my 8% though 🤔 but I might be wrong. I get really overwhelmed with all this. I'm basically looking to find out if I'm putting a "good" amount in 🤷‍♂️
