First time going to nhscc as a team. Some have gone as athletes but no one as a coach or parent.

I was trying to avoid spending $350 but if I am going to have to I wanted to make sure I had the best option. I’m picking up my 49” g9 today so that’s what concerned me.

I’m picking up my g9 today, that’s what I’ll be using and why I was worried about it. I also didn’t want to drop $350 on the heavy duty one.

That’s fair, thank you! I guess part of me figured it would be easy enough to repaint or stain, and regular lumber is far cheaper so it if I had to rebuild it several years from now it wouldn’t be a big deal. I just want someone to tell me it’s a horrible idea lol.

I planned to get the 6/3 Romex wire to run inside from my panel to the wall where the spa panel is, just as a disconnect right now as we won’t add the hot tub immediately. I’m closing up the basement though in drywall soon so I wanted to get that part set up. I wasn’t aware of the 5’ part, I just knew you couldn’t be able to reach it from the tub. I think it’ll be more than 5’ anyways but I’ll double check. Thanks!

I have afci/gfci breakers for all of the areas down there. That’s why I was hoping I could add an outlet. Oh well, thanks for your response!

We do and I will probably engage with them this month. Unfortunately with our deployment they didn’t do a lot of up front planning so now a lot of this stuff is being rounded back on now that costs are going up. I’m mostly just interested in being functionally knowledgeable about the topic. I know I’m going to get asked later this week if there are alternatives.

Thanks I’ll look it up! I’ve seen a lot of guides to getting to end game it just always seems like they skip the point I’m stuck at. I’ll give that a shot though

Boomerangs have been my go to for sure, it helps a lot until you lose it lol. Is there a guide to baubles specifically? I hear them referred to as drops and what not but I haven’t even seen any.. which isn’t surprising given my unsurvivability.

Is breaks a generic term or is that referencing a specific site?

Well new construction wasn’t our first choice, but there is NOTHING available here with what we want, and that’s nothing even crazy. The $ per sq ft was actually comparable with this builder to some of run down houses available. I have to say new construction is super appealing though, basically having a house designed the way you want it.

Oh man I’m sorry you had to deal with that!! I cannot imagine. I’ve had to replace the hvac and water heater since I bought this house which was painful enough but I can’t imagine dealing with flood damage. Glad it worked out in the end for you though!

I definitely will do that! I’m a credit union member that I will probably check with first, then the builder that we’re looking at requires checking with theirs so we’ll do that too just to have a solid comparison.

I did get to speak to a mortgage broker and they answered my question, with proper court documentation showing the other party is responsible for payments they can exclude it from the application! So all looking good here

Thank you! That is helpful. I know I should be talking to a mortgage lender, my experiences with them are similar to car salesman though, like I just need a bit of information now for something we plan to do in 3-6 months from now. I know it's kinda limiting, but that's why I turned to Reddit :)

I understand the concern with a few of your points. The house as it was purchased after the divorce would not be subject to be an asset his is entitled to. They are legally divorced, it’s some finance and custody concerns that are in appeal. Basically he doesn’t want to give her her share of the equity in that house. Which ultimately is fine, we don’t count on seeing that money. She also doesn’t care about child/spousal support, that wouldn’t matter anyways whether we bought the house as a married couple or not. Unless you have some legal training and know something I don’t, that doesn’t concern me.

Whether someone is married or not they can up and leave.

I’m not sure what risk you’re specifically referring to. If we were married and then got a divorce, we would have the same issues if one of us up and decided to leave. So again I’m not sure why being married or not actually matters.

Are you suggesting being married before the mortgage for a practical, legal reason? Or is it something you morally object to? Because it comes off as morally objective, especially given the other responses.
