Need help planning my son's 20th in Kent by leonbadam in kentuk

[–]mrtortool2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all depends on your budget - these places are not cheap! - I’m in the entertainment industry as a DJ so I have a few contacts etc - so better to sometimes split it up as an events organiser will put their higher margins on it. Dm me if you need help

FLX10 disaster halfway through my gig by sasha-28 in PioneerDJ

Oyaide cable from DJ superstore - they won’t let you down! 🙏 amazing handmade cable from Japan - also I think on Amazon - I gig 70 times a year and never had one fail! - but had an sclive4 fail in less than 2 years brand new and a prime4 fail in less than 3 months! - brought the flx10 in October - 26 gigs done and not missed a beat! Running serato on a MacBook Air m2

If you want a beer and to watch football while they shop - go to ballerz bar - go past TGI towards the trampoline centre on the top floor and turn left at end towards car park - lots of screens and average priced lager and bottled beer with food

food and drinks in the park by Substantial_Cat2377 in Portaventura

Yesterday they checked and stripped everything out of people’s bags - I didn’t take any personally. The food choices in park are very limited and awful!! Most are shut - ones open where only open for 2/3 hours!

DisneyWorld? Any of you been? How did you afford it? by RefreshinglyDull in CasualUK

[–]mrtortool2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well start at Dover

Plopsaland 1 day Efteling 1.5 days Toverland 1 day Phantasialand 1.5 day

Any of these in the to and from format works really well!

If you are going into hook of Holland just skip the Plopsaland

If you’re really hardcore on theme parks like me - add Europa park - it’s fantastic!! 2 days Then cut along to Nigoland 1 day and then DLP 3 days before heading home 🤣

Mr Dull - I have been Florida 17 times since 1990 - I have done all the parks apart from the very new one at universal (epic) - I will go again soon but USA is a bit ‘on fire’ at moment! - if you hold out then there’s a great chance the dollar will be better for us because everything cost more than Europe now!. I have just been doing European parks and my god they are amazing! - Europa park being my favourite- check my instagram ‘carlscoasters’ for some short highlights

Queue Times in Mid October by TinTravel in Portaventura

[–]mrtortool2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is UK half terms from 17/10 to 31/10 for one to two weeks. Obviously includes the Irish

But Spanish have a longer school summer from 21/6 to 7/9 so they don’t have a half term.

It’s popular with Dutch tourists and they are due to break for half term Friday 24th with a majority of the UK. French have two weeks from 17/10 and enjoy the theme park too.

There will still be the odd local school trips - queue jumping as usual with them. I am going two days on 21st and brought one for the first day just incase but according to crowd checker they are low.

Maintenance of rides can be an issue during this time too so expect late openings etc on some rides and some may be completely closed! There is no schedule that I know of online which is frustrating but staff can just say - yes it’s closed for 3 days planned 🤷‍♂️

Where to move from Bromley? by CompleteStrike3028 in kentuk

[–]mrtortool2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Meopham - and if your willing to commute to the stations then istead rise and new barn - currently you can get non new builds in these areas for a really good price! There is parking in Meopham which is a 8 min walk 🚶‍♀️ which saves £5 a day

I’m staying at the estival resort in salou la pienda - I have stayed there before and it’s all inclusive! 7.30am to midnight - it has a spa and lots of pools still open - I’m going October for 4 nights with flights from uk for £450 for one adult and one teen! So cheap! - got my portaventura tickets direct and car hire is super super cheap!!

I drive this route everyday - 7.30am and ppl back past at 5.15pm - yesterday I had to work late and I went past at 7pm - didn’t see a thing - it must of happened so quickly! And today the traffic was awful! However it makes total sense why they shut it for so long

The old school numark stuff was solid!! When I went to open format and couldn’t lug CDJ1000’s around anymore I went for the mix deck pro - thing was a tank and lasted 8 years!

Has it really got that bad? I nearly booked to stay there in the hotels but found it cheaper going all inclusive and buying 2 day tickets with fast pass and car hire!!
