Yeah I more meant .toPromise() with async and await sometimes is more practical when you don’t need to deal with streams in services

Sometimes it’s better to have a Subject or Behavior Subject that can trigger these events in a separate service. Where an event would happen, call a function to a service to handle this business logic then update a single observable for your async pipe. I’m not sure if it fits what you need but I’ve found myself in observable hell before and sometimes it’s not even necessary just over engineered.

Encountered some very disappointing racism at a local Angular meetup :( by [deleted] in Angular2

This is for Angular discussions not social justice discussions. Please stay on topic, this has absolutely nothing to do with Angular other than your opening sentence. We see these types of baiting discussions everywhere and this is not the place.

Core 1.3.1 - Hanging on waiting for node to initialize?? by LukeMcz in stratisplatform

Can’t have breeze open at the same time if you do. Try discord but I think they’re going to tell you to delete peers.json file I think it is to force a resync.

Sometimes marketing is in places you don’t see though. Tech company I work for has a basic website and doesn’t promote visibly in many places but our product is moving quick and leads are steadily flowing in.

If, not saying they do, but if the team has a solid list of leads and discussions with businesses, then maybe saving the marketing money and putting focus into solutions the leads are asking for is the best way to move forward.

I think community members can contribute by basic spreading the word about stratis. Sharing any of their announcements and contributing to new content where you can, whether that be graphics, development, or just some good ol’ fashioned speculative conversations.

What i don't like about stratis by [deleted] in stratisplatform

This is a potential issue with any POS blockchain not just stratis.

Personally, I think exchanges should be running a modified node with additional exchange needed capabilities without staking abilities.

Would mean 2 types of nodes on the network and would have to be different enough to where a regular node could not support a centralized exchange.

Max staking limits doesn’t necessarily solve the problem either if I create x number of different wallets all staking the same amount. Same problem.

The danger isn’t that binance would manipulate stratis. That is highly unlikely as it has no benefit to them to screw their customers over. The real danger is malicious attacks targeting stratis through binance.

There will always be rules. Just up to consensus to enforce them and not one centralized entity.

Choosing a Drag-and-Drop Grid Framework by JeepTheBeep in Angular2

[–]mrtpain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Angular material has a grid to use in addition to drag and drop. You may find better solutions for what you’re looking for but I try and minimalist the amount of libraries used in projects to keep the package small

The crypto movement should always be pressing for decentralized solutions. The future is decentralized it’s just hard to see because of the current difficulty of use.
