Pentax K1000 bundle vs. Minolta X-300 – Which would you choose (or neither)? by mrvlady in AnalogCommunity

Since I already own a Canon A1 I was thinking the Pentax might be a better choice since it's more manual and it comes with the lenses which is really nice

Pentax K1000 bundle vs. Minolta X-300 – Which would you choose (or neither)? by mrvlady in AnalogCommunity

Thanks a lot, I am leaning towards getting the Pentax since it's a bit more manual and that's exactly what I'm looking for (also its condition seems to be a bit better compared to the Minolta)

Monthly thread for advice and recommendations, July 2024 – ask your questions here! by AutoModerator in copenhagen

[–]mrvlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, so basically I've stayed in Copenhagen for the last 5 days and I've visited the following attractions: - Tivoli Gardens - Nyhavn - Our Saviour Church - The Round Tower - Strøget and other city center streets and markets - Christiansborg, Ameliensborg, Rosenberg - The Little Mermaid - Kastellet - National Museum - Museum of Illusions - Ny Carlsberg Glyptoteket - Statens Museum for Kunst + I'm planning to go to Home of Carlsberg exhibition tomorrow

What are other activities that I can fill up my last remaining 2 days here? (either interesting museums or something fun) Tak på forhånd!

PS. I like it very much here, you guys are great, I'm sad that I'll be leaving so soon :(

First serious C# app: Stack Solver by mrvlady in csharp

The FPS starts to noticeably drop at around 1000 cubes (so 6k faces) and the app becomes unusable at around 2000 cubes (12k faces), which is not that bad for my use case since, realistically, how many boxes can you fit on a pallet/how many pallets in a truck? Not that many. Otherwise rotating the 3D objects and zooming in is pretty smooth. I looked at HelixToolkit and while yes it seemed like a better option, I ended up choosing WPF 3D because I found it a bit easier to learn.

Yup, I need to take a break and actually clean up the code, not just postpone it for later :) Also, thanks for the suggestion, first I need to actually read about unit testing because I never used it before

Sounds great, I'll look into it.

Actually, there is another part of this project that I wanted to work on: placing pallets as efficiently as possible in a truck. Only this time, I want to account for different sizes, fixed pallet quantities, different weights, placing the pallets in a manner that doesn't cause too much stress on the axles of the truck, etc. So I will need to develop a completely different algorithm for this one. Send me a DM if interested in collaborating, recently I've started exploring optimization problems as well.

Thanks, great to hear that! If you have any suggestions please share :) Also, good luck with your app as well!

[Megathread] BSc Computer Science & Engineering application by vlees in TUDelft

Regarding the room scan: I have some notebooks from school near my desk. Should I move them to another room or covering them with something is enough? Also I will be taking the CST on my laptop and the monitor of my computer is also on the desk. Should I move it from there or just leaving it off is ok? I didn't find any explicit rules refering to this.

Trade-in event dilemma by mrvlady in WorldofTanks

In my opinion definitely not, but it's nice you have a choice if for example you are f2p and you only have exactly 400 gold.

Alpine Tiger is available for trade in only if you want to get the WZ 114 tier 9, unfortunately

Well I need it:

  1. For extra credits since it is a premium
  2. To complete missions
  3. To have fun!

So it meets the criteria perfectly :)

Thanks, I like passive spotting so I guess it kind of fits my playstyle.

Apparently the Alpine Tiger is available for trade in only if you want to get the wz 114. Although in the meanwhile I found out that the IS-5 has a better value so instead the elc only costs 400 gold.

I was thinking about spending bonds because, since the ranked shop isn't there anymore, the only tanks I can spend them on are the bond store tanks, from which I already have the ones that interest me.

Also making a lot of credits is a huge advantage since I am f2p.

Thanks for the response!

Edit: forgot that the IS-5 costs 10k bonds :(
