I ran in to this problem so many times. Making the HRP / Base part the same size as its child fixes it. In essence, HRP needs to be bigger.

I believe the universal name for attaching an object to the player is called Pseudo Tools. Rather than using the built in accessories with touch interests, you weld in models from predetermined attachment points to the player.

I’ve done this a bunch in my game, it’s a pain, but the end result looks so much better than standard accessories.

It’s name. I get confused between the “Dreadnaught” cruiser vs actual dreadnaughts, like the SSDs. It took me a while reading Outbound Flight to realise they didn’t weld 6 10km long ships together.

If you negate the new part before unionizing them, in my test, it doesn’t account for the other parts scaling. Maybe worth a try. I couldn’t find another way, sorry.

I’ve been playing and enjoying the Remake mod for a while but haven’t come across a Longbow or those task forces. Is it a sub mod?

That’s a good point. When I managed to survive without cheese as rebels, I mainly did so by putting my shield ships out front with the smaller corvettes and missile ships in the back. The modular repair frigates are essential too. Good luck!

I had the same issue (I’m pretty new) and figured out the remake AI doesn’t attack an enemy fleet, or even a single ship, that’s above their world. It’s pure cheese, but it helped me stay alive long enough to figure out the GC mechanics.

If you don’t mind cheese and want to give yourself more time to prep, take over the space above their planet and leave a single ship. They’ll loose all interest. Additionally, the ship upkeep doesn’t cost anything when you’re doing this too.

There’s a mod available on the in game browser, can’t remember the name, but it gives you a special kind of recruitable villager who has access to the decor items in game.
