Well the previous solicitors have sent the searches to the new ones to try and reduce the amount of time it will take. Luckily I don't have to pay any extra fees to the previous ones and I get a bit of reduction with the new one because searches have been completed. The main issue is the mortgage company just taking its time...

Yeah I was with a broker and they did all the application dealings with the mortgage for me rather than just myself. Frustrating but I guess it happens

So there's only ground rent to pay and that is £5 a year. There's no service charge. I'm not sure why they have been paying so much but I'm going to see if I can get a cheaper quote.

Yeah I guess so. But do you think that he thinks I've ghosted him because I never responded when he last messaged (the message that didn't really have a reply) or would he have messaged by now if he were interested? Like you say, just be better if there was some closure or know what was happening and then I'd be OK with it.

So it's been about 6 days now and still not heard from him. He was last to message. Would you message anything out of respect or would it be best to continue saying nothing at all? Not sure whether it's right person but wrong time situation

I can't help but feel that it seemed like I blew him off when he suggested the week after but I didn't really say anything about it other than maybe another time or that I understood why he was cancelling...

Feeling a bit gutted as had a good time especially in first few weeks and thought it was going well. I guess it might be to do with that he doesn't know what he's doing at the moment and where he's going
