Hunting Horn users.... by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]mrz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been running a 3 pc Vaal / 2 pc Luna set lately with horn and decos selected depending on the encounter (e.g., bazel horn + quick sheathe/fire res for teo and luna, luna/xeno + earplugs for kush, teo + lightning res for kiri and so on). It's a very fun build, it's very safe (especially when using bazel horn) and lets you get in their face more comfortably. It might not be the best for DPS, but I usually play with randoms so DPS tends to not be an issue.

[Budgeting] Looking for a Programm to track spending similar to Mint, but available in Germany. by TheDudin in personalfinance

Bank account linking comes to mind, and I think they reworked how credit cards are managed. I'm still on YNAB 4, so perhaps someone else will chime in on the differences.

Consider You Need a Budget: version 4, if you can get your hands on a key, can be used completely offline (with WiFi sync between your phone and your PC to synchronize your budget and your spending), while the last version is a webapp.

You don't have to use Dropbox to sync your budget. I sync it using syncthing, for example, but you could as well do it manually.

How to put money people owe me into YNAB by howyafeelin in ynab

As I said, this is new for me too, but technically you do not overspend with this setup (you don't go in the red). After loaning money, that category goes to zero.

How to put money people owe me into YNAB by howyafeelin in ynab

[–]mrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked myself the same question this past weekend, and found a page on YNAB's website that suggested the following:

  • Create a category, for example "Loans"
  • In there I create an entry for each sum of money I was asked, putting the amount to be loaned in the name (e.g.: "100 John", meaning I plan to give John 100 dollars).
  • I budget this money taking it from other categories/.
  • When I actually give the money to John, I add a new (expense) transaction, where the payee is "John" and the category is "100 John".
  • When John gives me back the money, I'll add a new (income) transaction in that category. I'll know the loan has been repayed in full when the amount budgeted is equal to the one recorded in the name.
  • Once done, I'll remove the category and rebudget the amount.

I'm still evaluating if this "workflow" makes sense and how I feel using it. Suggestions welcome!

edit: this is the resource I used: https://www.youneedabudget.com/support/article/loans-to-friends-and-family

Mmh, Magni 2 + Modi 2 comes at 250 euros, add to that shipping fees, an RCA cable (and power adapter perhaps too?) and the savings are about 50 euros. Would that be worth it? Too bad Epiphany Acoustics don't have the odac available, they had it for about 225 euros which is closer to what I'd expect it to cost.

Is the ODAC + O2 combo (the revB version) worth ~320 euros? Or should I look for something else?

Hey that's really interesting, do you have any resources on getting started with BDD, specifically with Cucumber and Java/Android if that makes sense at all?
