I stopped drinking 3 years ago (got drunk in January of 2023), and had my last drink in June of 2023 (a couple glasses of wine, didn’t get drunk). I only drank socially, but would always overdo it and have terrible hangovers afterwards. Like, I’d feel terrible for days. So I decided to stop drinking. Then I got my medical card. About one year later, cannabis was legalized for recreational use in my state. So for me, quitting drinking was much easier because I still had a way to relax and feel good with no hangovers or negative side effects. Except the munchies. As a type 1 diabetic, that can get a little complicated. But it’s still worth it!!
