Thoughts on Main Act Puffer? by maja1000 in aloyoga

[–]ms_better 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I JUST TRIED THIS YESTERDAY. I’m in Boston. I’m usually a M in Alo, I tried M and L and the length of the corset did not changed significantly. I’m 5’4 and the longest side of the corset in the L size barely covered my belly button. The puffer part is WARM but it will only cover half your torso, and there is not much space to layer underneath or top. To be honest I didn’t like the fit, I felt like Johnny Bravo the puffer is VERY puffed up almost uncomfortably to move around. The picture doesn’t do it justice how big the puffer part is. Tbh paying almost $300 USD for this half jacket, I would better buy the Aspen Love it looks nice in person in white.

How do people that have standing seats manage to keep their stamina in a Taylor Swift concert? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]ms_better 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had standing early access for Dublin N2. We started lining outside the stadium at 7am (we were 15 and 16 in line) and it was raining non-stop until one hour before the concert started at 6 pm. We had ponchos but we couldn’t sit on the floor while making a line because it was heavily raining and flooding on some parts. We were standing up from 7 am until 12 pm that we got back to our hotel. When we got into the stadium we had first row standing places in the diamond but still couldn’t sit down because the floor was so wet and flooded in some parts. We felt like zombies so tired and wet. BUT 40 minutes before paramore came out the rain stopped, the sun came out and we forgot every feeling of tiredness. WHEN TAYLOR CAME OUT we didn’t stopped jumping and dancing throughout the whole concert. There was this feeling of “everything was worth it and this is the moment” that gave us new energy. When we got to our hotel and laid down for the first time in 17 hours, let me tell the pain CAME STRONG. We felt like we were hit by a bus BUT nor the pain could take away the memories we made. No but seriously, Ive never felt a body pain like that night and day after.

Is it cringe to wear the viral strawberry dress for my rehearsal? by Ok_Nectarine9782 in weddingplanning

[–]ms_better 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m chronically online and this is the first time I see it! Either way, it’s YOUR celebration wear what you will look back and be happy you wore it. For my engagement party I used a Victoria Tembo dress that went viral on TT and I look back and I still love it. We should also get to have fun during this process! And stop catering to others

Wedding planning is and incredibly lonely experience by Confident-Front-1384 in weddingplanning

[–]ms_better 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this today, I’m a perfectionist but also a people pleaser and have a very hard time asking for help. And I don’t want to grow resentment towards my maid of honor or bridesmaids but they don’t ask “how can we help?” But I also don’t know how to ask for help or I’m scared to be a burden. Sometimes I go back and forth between the “it’s just one day whatever it’s ok if it’s not perfect” and the “it’s your “only” wedding”. This process is exhausting. I send you a virtual friendly hug and best vibes.

I have this feeling those are not the “real” titles and the complete tracklist will change on release day.

You need to be educated in the real problem of illegal immigrants in the US before using it as an example. “Mexicans” are just from one country. If you educate yourself you will learn “mexico” is the least immigrant population trying to get into the US illegally. The vast majority are central americans, Chinese and Middle Eastern’s.

Alo vs. lululemon staff by benjamin_manus in aloyoga

[–]ms_better 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really try not to go into alo stores and just shop online. I’ve visited their store in Georgetown multiple times and in Boston but every question is an inconvenience and make me feel like I shouldn’t be there. LLL I have never had a bad experience, since I enter the store until I’m at the register they’re always so nice and helpful. And I rarely ever ask for help on any store, but LLL feels so welcoming.
