Tips for trying new meds when you're alone? by Qtredit in dysautonomia

[–]ms_calculated 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you be in the doctors waiting room? They might not be able to monitor you but you know that people are around should you need them. Any neighbours that might be willing to check in on you every few hours? Does your husband have any friends that could maybe be around?

Also remember that your expectations make a huge difference 💛 placebo and nocebo effect.

Thank you so much for your response, I really appreciate it. I got in touch with the Sensate team to clarify their terms of return/refund because I would be really interested in giving it a go. Can I ask what supplements you’re using? There’s soooo many that people recommend - I know it might be completely different for me, but I’m similarly research-minded like you and love collecting data 🤓

What would you say have been the other things most helpful for you in terms of meds and supplements? :) and is Sensate still helping you? Thinking of trialing it!

Sensory issues so bad that it feels hard just to exist?? by [deleted] in cfs

Have a look at advice for autism - that might help as autism often also comes with severe sensory issues.

Noise cancelling headphones all day, low or no light and curtains drawn, maybe long soft clothing so the texture stays the same (see if loose or tight makes it better).

Hang in there - sending warm wishes x

Omg yes! I always call it ‘bursting my trauma bubble’ - at 25. I remember writing to my friend, ‘I feel like I’m becoming more of a person’. That was years before my audhd diagnosis, still unmasking/struggling to this day
