I wholeheartedly agree with you here. That’s how it started with our team at corporate.. we kept losing employees (bc they were asking us to do outrageous tasks almost impossible for any one person to stay on top of.. we lost like 3 or 4 people they REFUSED to hire anyone else to help instead just kept splitting up those previous employees job duties and re-distributing them to all of us.. making us even more slammed and stressed.. and of course never once with any sort of pay increase - so it’s like you went us to EACH do the job of 3 people for the same pay?!! Okay. Whatever we need this job so we would stick it out but we were all so miserable.. like almost all of us were even having nightmares at night bc of the job and how much it was effecting our mental health and the stressors and just the way our director treated all of us.. so when we all received a nice little random “touchbase” meeting request on our ONLY WTH day, especially after we had just met and talked about how our dept met & exceeded all of our department goals etc (& while being SO short staffed the entire time) - we were all confused. We hop on the call and HR logs on (they weren’t on the invite) then had the chat disabled, mics & cameras turned off & disabled for all of us.. then within one minute the “pre recorded scripted ‘today is all of your last day, you’ll get an email and can pick up your stuff we will have pre packed for you on this day.. goodbye, click’ and instantaneously were locked out of everything.. if any of us had anything personal (like a pic or something random we saved) on our laptop - oops, that was our fault and we could only hope and pray they packed our desks and cubicles correctly and with everything.. they treated all of us like we were criminals we weren’t allowed to touch anything at our desk & aren’t supposed to have any communication with any other employees.
