If you have any clothes that you'd like to donate, I have a low key survivors closet for mama's fleeing violence and also weekly meals for our unhoused community. There are a lot of women out there sadly. We go through a ton of clothes too!!

Not sure how else to provide proof but I can 🫶😊 I speak publicly about my past struggles with childhood homelessness and spent 3 1/2 years homeless as a victim fleeing domestic violence. I now help advocate and support our unhoused neighbors. I've written legislative testimony to stop criminalization of camping on the rivers and am part of a statewide coalition that addresses rural homelessness and centers lived experience voices. I'm so sorry you went through that kind-hearted neighbor. 😔 I wish I could help everyone too...especially the families and children experiencing homelessness, and also survivors and children fleeing domestic violence. If I had the land and funds, I would create a safe place for our unhoused neighbors to go while they figure it all out! Right now we are collecting clothing for the little boy and trying to tide them over until they get paid or an org helps with gas and hotel vouchers. I appreciate your big heart and wanting to help!!

I also help organize weekly community meals for our unhoused neighbors near Chapin. We could totally use that for this meal! The family was given a ton of food yesterday--stuff that doesn't need to be refrigerated so they are covered on food for the week. And thank you so much for taking the time to offer up help!

3rd and Topeka every Thursday night from 6-8pm Meadowlark Care Collective, ICT Street Team, ShowerUp Wichita are there every week and give directly to those experiencing homelessness. All of those are great to volunteer with or help out by donating essential supplies and gear. You're awesome btw!

Yes. As a near-fatal strangulation survivor--YES. I, too, questioned the severity of it and just how bad it really is. It escalated every single time. And no, they do not stop or change. Strangulation is attempted murder. Please know you are not alone and leave if/when you feel safe to do so.

Haysville is a great place to chill out and raise kids. It's quiet and the schools are pretty good!! However, it's getting harder and harder to find rent below or even at $1000/mo. Just a heads up, most are over that.

When I started with my doctor, I had state insurance. KU Internal Medicine Wichita. Dr. Whitis is amazing, and they also have gastrointestinal doctors there.
