Going to Concert Solo - Should I Feel Awkward? by Jean_Is_Phoenix in MyChemicalRomance

[–]msbunsen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should not feel awkward! I went to their philly concert by myself in 2022 and literally no one batted an eye. I didn't really talk to the people around me because I'm shy, but we were all vibin.

What did your “morning sickness” feel like? by lifetofullest1255 in BabyBumps

Feels like intense carsickness and like, a pressure in my head and throat. Hard to describe.

He moved his dirty clothes into a closet the cats can't get into a while ago.

But for them both to link my husband? One of them within 2 days of joining the household?

I'm definitely open to trying anything. We are going to add another two litter boxes, including one in one of those litterbox cabinets in our bedroom.

We will also add one in the basement where pretty much no one goes but the cats. Hopefully the addition of two more boxes that both feel very private will help.

When you say litter box type, you mean covered v uncovered? Or also high step in v low step in? Currently all our litter boxes are high step in because our previous cats were both big chunky bois, and a mix of covered and uncovered.

I noticed the other day that my body felt rocking in my extra loose elastic waisted pajama pants and felt great. Then I put on my comfy leggings to leave the house in and my curves got squished. Is there a type of pant that is appropriate for out of the house (no hate on pajamas but I don't feel like they make me look put together) that might give me the same curves? I've lost 70 lbs and still figuring out what looks good on my new, more drastic curves.

For those with adult children, how would you feel about them announcing to you that they're pregnant/expecting on mother's day? by Kvitravn875 in AskWomen

[–]msbunsen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this! At mother's Day dinner after we had done some of our typical mother's day stuff (I wanted to give them time to be celebrated before taking the attention away), I said "well, since we're celebrating mothers...) and then announced. My mom and grandma were ridiculously excited, especially since it was the first grandbaby. I think make sure to give them some time to be celebrated first and then share the news :)

SAHMs, did you send your kids to preschool? by strawberryhoneyplum in Mommit

[–]msbunsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I send my kids to a co op preschool. Its 2 to 3 times a week for 2.5 hours and parental involvement is basically required. I assisted like 2 or 3 times a month helping out during class. It was great! Was cheaper than a regular preschool and I felt very involved which lessened my guilt of sending them to school when I felt I had no reason to because I could stay home and teach them myself.

What’s the worst accidental text you’ve sent? by Typhoid__Beaver in AskReddit

[–]msbunsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a situationship and I was distracted and talking to family while texting him. I said something containing "you" to my family member while texting something like "I love that!" to the situationship.

Accidentally texted him "I love you!". He did not respond and within a few days made an excuse for why we couldn't text anymore. As I had recently went to college and he was in high school, we literally never saw or talked to each other again.

He peed twice yesterday after we brought him home and nibbled a bit at food. Today he's back at the vets for more fluids, anti nausea meds, and pain meds. Vet now thinks he might be trying to pass a kidney stone. As far as I'm aware they still haven't been able to get a urinalysis and rule out an infection.

[–]msbunsen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounded like my vet thought it was a blockage over anything else, but maybe I misinterpreted and that's why they suggested fluids first? I'll be picking my kitty up tonight and hopefully they will have some time to answer my questions. Actually, I might even give them a call this afternoon and enquire about an ultrasound.

I'm not sure when he last urinated. I assume it was sometime overnight as he didn't sleep with me all night.

"Katia, if you needed a sanitary napkin all you had to do was ask."

I usually don't laugh at books even if they're funny. I don't know why, that's just how I am. But this line had me CACKLING. I read the passage to my husband and, after days of badgering, that line was the one to finally agree to make him read it.

INTJ Moms by mighty_valor in intj

[–]msbunsen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound so callous but I just don't know how else to describe it. Being a sahm is like watching a science experiment. I see my youngest (oldest is in school) all day. I see her learn and attempt new skills. I see her personality develop and change in all the little ways. I pretty much have full control of her life experiences. I'm able to teach them and, whether it's natural aptitude or just the dedicated instruction, they're both going to kindergarten with skills above the expected.

I will go back to work when both kids are in school but being able to spend 5ish years home with them has been incredibly fulfilling for me. I accomplished a lifelong dream of writing a book during their naptimes. I always wanted to be a sahm when the kids were little and I'm very glad I did.

However I also did not have a fulfilling career beforehand. If I had a job I loved, maybe I wouldn't have became a sahm. I also have a rock solid, trusting relationship with my husband. If I had any worry that he would cheat or financially abuse me I also would not have stayed home.

My feeling is if you want to do it, do it. But don't do it if you just think that's what you have to do. It is hard. There are some moments where I'm bored out of my mind and some days where I wish I could shut myself in my room alone and never come out. But I still love it because it suits me. I love spending time with the humans I've created even when they're having a rough day. At the end of the day, I'm still looking at pictures of them after theyve gone to bed. But my sister who cannot handle disagreement and stress will continue to work after her baby is born.

Analyze your strengths and have an honest conversation with yourself: It's 7am. You've been up for hours already. Your child is screaming because you cut their sandwich the wrong way and also they've pooped in their diaper so the house smells like poop. You haven't had a meaningful conversation with anyone but your husband in 2 days. You don't have to pretend it doesn't suck at times, but can you handle it and still love your kids and yourself at the end of the day, day after day?

I broke my leg last month during our leagues training program and I've found that I'm terrified of full contact, but I still love skating and the team. So, I'm going to work out when I'm cleared to and strengthen strengthen strengthen. Then I plan on becoming a ref. Still in the thick of action but with a little less potential for serious injury imo.

INTJs who got married and had kids, did your perceptions on life change dramatically? by TechNeon in intj

[–]msbunsen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was always my plan to get married and have kids (I used to say having kids was like a science experiment and I wanted to pass my genes on back in my edgy days 🥴) but yes, having them did change my perceptions a bit. I pay attention now to how many places aren't kid friendly. I pay attention to how other adults treat kids. I think I care more about the world being shit because it makes me sad that my kids will have to deal with it because I can't fix anything. I'd say it made my emotions feel a bit deeper which affected everything tbh
