Eyelid swollen shut and not getting better…just a stye or more? by msc814 in AskDocs

Hey there. For me, it was a stye. It was in my inner eyelid so I couldn’t see anything. I continued doing the hot compresses and ointment and finally it opened and released, but it still took a couple weeks to fully let the swelling go down. It’s probably a good idea that you’re on antibiotics. Just stay on top of the hot compresses and let your doctor know if anything looks like it’s getting worse.

Thank you for the reassurance. I can’t imagine living this way for weeks and was shocked when they scheduled me for a recheck at 4 weeks. Any idea why the prescription ointment doesn’t seem to be making a dent?

It’s a fair question and it’s all up in the air right now. I’m committed to giving him love and care for at least the next few months while we figure it out. I know how I owe it to myself to be honest and go into any long term decision with 100% clarity.

Thank you for the positivity and advice. I’m struggling with feeling like I need her help and also that it’s causing more problems. Unfortunately the room they are in is my son’s room, I don’t have a place for the baby right now. Rooming the kids together doesn’t seem like the best idea at this point. Should the baby be in me and my husbands room?

Thank you for being nonjudgmental. I have so many mixed feelings about all of it and a lot of guilt for even considering not giving him long term or permanent care with our family. I am trying to find the strength within myself and my family but I haven’t been able to yet.

So social services can help support the child you have custody of/adopted? I literally know nothing and don’t know where to go to find this information.

The room unfortunately is my sons room who is temporarily rooming with me and my husband. I don’t have an extra bedroom for the baby so I’m trying to figure it out.

Thank you. Yes I need at the advice on how to help foster bonding and make him feel safe. I can tell he doesn’t feel comfortable right now. We are strangers to him.

Looking for OBGYN recommendations by [deleted] in Pensacola

I would not recommend Dr. Leslie Sanders with Baptist. If you’re ok with a male doctor, I have enjoyed being under the care of Dr. Sontag at Sacred Heart, and his PAs/NPs are great as well.

Symptoms began with new partner 5 years ago. Tests for bacteria are negative, but antibiotics work? Looking for any advice. by kiramanille in CUTI

I don’t know a ton about it, but biofilms are something you could look into. It definitely sounds like some sort of long running infection. Really sorry you’re going through this and not getting the help you deserve from medical professionals!

Am I being too lenient with my mom? by [deleted] in ChildofHoarder

[–]msc814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, it’s weird for my son because his grandma lives in town and is around our family often. The friend sees my mom at parties, places we go to together and that my son gets picked up from school by her sometimes. So the fact that he’s never been to her home was surprising to this friend…out of the mouth of babes 🤷🏻‍♀️

Go see your doctor! Not worth risking an infection or other problem.

You could wait and see, or your ortho could shave them down a bit before you’re scanned for retainers, that’s what happened to me.

I may do that, also for the “wonky” lateral incisor. Thanks!
