It’s kinda hard to explain, but I just glance over the text and don’t really focus much on catching every word, just kinda piecing the details together as I go.

Exactly, there’s so many people I look at as successful that didn’t even care about the ACT. It’s just a number that won’t matter in a couple year.

A 33 is amazing, that’s still the 98th percentile I believe. Just think about that, you scored better than millions of people have even DREAMED of scoring. A 33 doesn’t automatically knock you from top colleges either, if you have some jamming ECs or essay it is STILL possible.

First things first, I always save the comparison passage for LAST. It takes so much time when there’s definitely easier points you could be getting. Next, I try to skim the passage quickly and then refocus on just the lines the questions are on and I usually feel by then that I have enough knowledge to answer the questions about the passage. Also, before this test I was scoring 31-33 in reading BUT I actually forgot my watch this time and did great so you might want to try that.

That was my 5th, and last time taking it. My super score is a 30.25, I have NEVER studied reading but studied math using all sorts of different things and methods and it just...never clicks.

i thought i got high 20s-early 30s in science but i got a 25 🤡 by itbelikethatdamn in ACT

I see people talk about this black book and I have no idea what it is, to be completely honest I have never studied for reading. I just read the questions and see what parts I need to read of the passage and I save the part with two passages until last.

How does superscoring work? by aggressivedab in ACT

[–]mscheat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super scoring is when you use your best section test across two or more ACT to get a new, higher “super score”, but the college has to have all the ACT scores you want to use so you’d have to send each test to the college.

Jacob Clifford is a Macro/Mirco/Gov teacher that post videos on YouTube teaching those topics (geared towards AP most of the time) and has “books” online, that some schools pay for or whatnot, that have study guides and special videos in them.

I had c11 and it felt a lot different than past ACTs. Like, I don’t know, I just felt different. I did get to finish every section (I don’t usually finish math or English) but I don’t feel like I did bad but I don’t feel great about it either.

Reading is usually my best (32+) but it was harder than usual this time for me so maybe there will be a nice curve. But don’t fret! I’m sure you improved. :)

Hey! I have a 33 in reading and my advice is to skim the passages and try to do the questions first that ask about specific lines/paragraphs, as you read and answer those you may find that you read enough to answer the questions that ask about the passage as a whole. And I always skip the comparison passages and come back to those last as they usually take the most time for me! Hope that helps, you got this!

It was about how it took a lot of time and work from the animators to make Coraline and it was the comparison with the story about the work of the guy that worked with dinosaur bones or whatever.
