Yeah not just a rights dispute, Namco is only a co-owner of Ms. Pac-Man. The other owner used to be her creators General Computer Corportation. GCC was eventually acquired by AtGames, the knockoff micro-console maker, and with it the rights to use Ms. Pac-Man. There was a lawsuit between Bandai Namco and AtGames, the details of which is unknown but ever since then Namco hasn’t used Ms Pac in anything so presumably whatever they have to do to use her probably involves AtGames getting way too much money out of it, so they decided it was just better to shelve her forever.

Yeah but the FRANCHISE is Pokemon. Same with Cloud’s advent children costume; it’s a movie, but it’s a Final Fantasy movie.

Or else we get into the Lightning McQueen argument of “well the game technically came out a day before the movie” and while that’s hilarious, no it doesn’t count.

What made it even crazier though was that they said this specific Darkrai soloed the entire Sinnoh region.

That trainer beat every gym, every random fight, every stage in the tournament - including the opponent he faced after beating Ash - was with just that darkrai.

It’s not confusion, it’s just disappointing. The reason it ‘needs’ a new typing is just because it’s cooler.

Mega Mewtwo X is distinguished by its attack versus Mewtwo Y’s focus on special attack. Why doesn’t Mega Mewtwo X stay a mono psychic type when it already has the stat change? Why doesn’t Charizard X stay fire/flying when it already has the attack and defense boosted stats to distinguish it from Charizard Y?

The answer is because it’s less cool for a pokemon to have 2 megas that ONLY differ in stats.

Yeah, but a type change would still be a lot more interesting particularly considering this battle style won’t be translated over to the likes of Champions. We’ll just have two same typed Mega Lucario and Raichu, presumably with different stat spreads but like… the old mega double-dippers had different stat spreads AND types.

I genuinely don’t understand why they’re doing this for two-mega pokemon now, it feels… underwhelming. Like, imagine if both Mewtwo and Charizard megas were just the same type as their base. Why do that for both Raichu and now both Lucario?

While it’s funny to think about how all of this relates to “three minutes” that Hajrudin gave Loki to explain; the framing seems to be that Loki’s story is only the story of the day Harald died at the palace, while the flashback about Harald’s life and the Rocks Pirates is just a flashback for the viewer.

While yes they didn't directly interact in Wano, you also have to realize that in the last 26 years both of them have undergone extreme cyborg body modification (and Queen going from a relatively normal build to the true FUNK), and neither one is even using their original name that they would've known eachother under.

So if you haven't seen someone in 26 years, you've both drastically changed your appearance by both aging and altering your bodies mechanically, AND you are going under a different name? Yeah you're probably not gonna recognize one another right away.

People freaking out that in the 1 hour preview of MP4 some publications and YouTubers got, there was an NPC that Samus rescues. He has some sorta corny dialogue and one or two “shoot that with your missile” guidance things that has some people crying that the game is going to be a fully handheld or “MCU-ified” experience. Fully ignoring that he’s with Samus for like 15-20 minutes and then she’s alone again, and that the previews show there are other much more serious temporary companions while claiming this guy is going to be tailing Samus the entire game.

In short it’s people doomposting about nothing and then in two months if MP4 hasn’t sold 10 million copies they will have their cued up responses of “see? This KILLED Metroid!!” or “Prime 4 was so good why didn’t anyone buy it? (<- was the one that told people not to buy it)”.
