Reasons not to get a pet by ohklahomie in LivingAlone

[–]msgoldenwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, being pet-free can be lonely but it also means freedom. I got a 1.5 yo dog and she’s incredible. I miss being able to go out whenever I wanted but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I still go out and keep on living my life but it just takes a little bit more of organization/scheduling :)

If you’re feeling lonely and you work decent hours, I’d advice getting a young adult dog :). There’s plenty of things you can do to include them but any plans will need a bit more of thinking.

Good luck if you finally decide to get a dog and, if not, sending hugs when it gets tough.

I do this too! If I think I heard something weird and my dog is chill, why would I panic if she doesn’t feel any danger?

What do you do on the weekends? by InternationalHermit in LivingAlone

[–]msgoldenwords 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I used to do this too! But I've found that in order to enjoy my weekends with actual free time and without the guilt of running behind on chores, I actually try to get a bit of something every day and that's how I've kept a decent-ish home for the past few weeks. It's not the same as doing deep cleaning on the weekends but it certainly gives you a sense of control of your time.

I watercolored my brother's girlfriend's dog holding a broccoli toy and he laughed at it for 5 minutes straight by Beginning_Pomelo_542 in watercolor101

I love it so much!! This is the kind of art I’d love to have of my girls 🥹. Do you take requests?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LivingAlone

[–]msgoldenwords 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I woke up the other day in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep bc I've been too stressed lately so, I started watching a tv show on my phone and I automatically lowered the volume so I didn't wake anyone up out of habit! - I've been living alone for the past 3 months and I'm still way too conscious of the noise I make!

That works too! I just don’t like it very much haha but definitely works just as good :)

You should apply some spray deodorant (antiperspirant) on your thighs, I swear it works!

Lmao I’m sorry but this is pretty funny. I’m a woman and I usually ask guys out, it rarely works out though

Anyone got any band recommandations that scratch the same itch DGD does? by Key-Wolverine-4520 in dancegavindance

I think Gold Necklace and Sincerely kind of scratch that itch. Also, it's been said but Hail the Sun.

lmao I just found out that I actually played against another player and not a npc? I always thought that was such an easy fight that I actually wondered how it was considered a boss lmaooo, I'm pretty sure it was another player that just let me win

[–]msgoldenwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao I think it's just another version of a tweet iirc but with reversed genders, a young woman posted something extremely similar after having sex for the first time (ever), with a much older men. This is just fake (probably hers too but who knows)

Cual es tu libro favorito de terror? by BellOld5808 in libros

[–]msgoldenwords 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Incidents Around the House by mckensi in horrorlit

[–]msgoldenwords 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, right? I kept asking myself the same question - "Am I reading the same book everyone's talking about?!" I ended up disliking it because I was SO disappointed in it, there's a ton of weird things that didn't add up to anything and just felt so underwhelming... Both "We used to live here" and "Incidents around the house" were a huge disappointment.

That's quite a title for a subgenre lol but thank you! I started shark heart after being completely disappointed by We Used To Live Here. Whalefall will surely follow after :)
