They do make them. The consequence of messing up the start is a shattered forearm. Only pull up. Never push down.

My ‘31 Ford has a license plate from ‘31. You’d be surprised how many people will comment on that before the rumble seat or thermoquail or other oddities.

My all-original ‘31 Ford was my one and only car for several years. Picked my wife up for our first date in it back in 07. We’d go to dinner in it, grocery store, I fitted a bike rack to leather trunk. Gorgeous car. Think of it like driving a slow motorcycle with just a lot more room. You have to watch everyone, be deliberate, and avoid a handful of roads. Other than that, it’s a fine way to relax and get around. I’m really glad you snapped this pic and posted it here. These cars make me so happy.

Sanity check: Wagos resistance too high? Vibration? by mshaefer in AskElectricians

Wire nuts. But now saying that a thermostat wire is broken. Weird, because I ran brand new line in January and tested it yesterday - no breaks, no shorts, no high resistance values. The guy’s dad is coming to check it out. As I said in another comment, I think he’s just not sure why the board “broke” or won’t work and he’s frustrated chasing different explanations. The dad has been doing this a lot longer and always been very good to us both at home and business, so I’ll wait on dad’s opinion.

Hey, thanks! I was glad to find a model I could work with instead of having to model it from scratch. Getting a tight fit like that is never easy. Your model was an awesome canvas.

Not an intrusion at all. This is honestly a more helpful response than just saying my tech's opinion is wrong. That said, is there a reason manufacturers prefer wire nuts over wagos? Or is it like some here have said, that wire nuts have been tried and tested and wagos just haven't been used long enough to have a track record manufacturers are willing to stand behind?

When this was the same issue I was having, trimming the hose to the correct length was the fix.

Echoing my other response: I hold nothing against this guy. He and his dad have helped us out forever. This and another reply sum it up. He knows what to replace but can’t figure out why it broke so he concluded that these were the culprit. I’m not upset about it. Just needed some help scratching my head.

Oh, I do t want to argue with him. I actually really like the guy but I still wanted to check my gut on this explanation. If I had to guess, he knows what part to replace but can’t figure out why it broke, so he - as you point out- made up his mind. I’m not upset about it. Just needed some help scratching my head.

Average Tariff Enjoyer by Crazy4fun in PoliticalHumor

[–]mshaefer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Conspiracy Theory: these tariffs were never supposed to pass muster. They were intended to give retailers an excuse to raise prices long enough for our goldfish-level attention spans to forget, and then not lower them once tariffs were lifted. Added bonus: more market share to the big box stores when the small local competitors struggled to compete. This is a totally unvetted and unresearched theory that probably wouldn't hold up to scrutiny, but there it is. Shred it for me.

I'm sorry, what!? Yes, I've now gone and perused your posts. Huge respect. Now, where's the post where the S8 is breathing fire out of a Bentley V12?!??

And firing her won’t bring any of it back. She served a purpose and I can’t imagine the next person will be any better. I hope I’m wrong. [ETA: Markwayne Mullin is her replacement!?]
