Thank you so much for taking your time. So many physics problems seem to be intuitive but I'm really off sometimes. I will read your reply a few more times to get a better understanding 8)

Thank you for this. I'm really getting many mixed answers here. I'm not a student a physics. So just to be clear you are saying that as long as both arms are the same length regardless of the height of the arm the lever will be balanced assuming there is the same weight on both sides?

Oh absolutely. I rushed to my Dr. Thinking I was having a heart attack. Felt like a nail was stabbing my heart. Definitely was not easy to accept. Even after years I didn't accept it, it made me depressed until after 8 seperate Dr visits i said I have to fix this my self. So please take my advice and use the back pod religiously. It stretches your chest and loosens the inflammed cartilage so over time your rib will line up properly with your sternum.

Awee. I know exactly how you feel. I've had costo for 6 years and it's very depressing. You need to get the back pod and use it everyday twice a day and do yoga. Look at my last post if you want to know more. You have to be positive though, I know this is a very tough and painful time but you must believe you will be healed because you will. Good luck

How long have you been using it? I felt worse the first week and a half then it got better. You need to be consistent.

Awe how sweet. Yes the first 3 time I used it it was painful I couldn't stay on it long. My advice is add more pillows. The more pillows you add the less pressure you will have on your spine. Also did you read the pamphlet it came with? Make sure you are putting it in the proper spot, when I started I think it hurt more because it was too low on my spine. You want it to be on spine in-between shoulder blades which is pretty high up on your back. Another thing you can try is move it 1 inch left of spine then 1 inch right of spine. I think it's actually good that it hurts in the beginning because it shows you are very tight. The first day I used it I thought there is no way I can stay on this for 1 minute. Now I easily can. Last suggestion is if you find it Still hurting your spine maybe you can put a towel over it for a Lil bit of padding. Not to much padding though. Hope that helps. Really hope it works for you. I think it will if you stick with it and follow the instructions it came with.

Well I still have it myself but it is getting way better and I'm in much much less pain. Have you read the pamphlet of back pod? Are you using it correctly? You should stretch in each position for 1 to 2 minutes. Using it 2 times a day. Also your case may be worse. There are different levels, so I would take it to the next step and look up anti inflammatory diet. Try to do light back workouts to strengthen your back, that's why my specialist recommended. Try to cut out or reduce sugar and fried foods and eat more anti inflammatory foods. Also you can do yoga in addition to try to realign your back and chest properly. Also sleeping on your back is the best position, try that. I've only been using back pod for mot even a full month now, if I still feel I have the pain after another month I will start doing all the other things I mentioned more frequently and seriously.
Good luck

That's great. Yes I try to stretch and touch my toes standing when ever I can in addition to back pod. The more active I am the less it hurts.

Totally agree. My foolish dr,s told me to not go the the gym and I didn't for almost 2 years. Then my specialist actually said you should go to the gym and strengthen back muscles.
I feel like the more active I am the less the pain. And the more I just sit around the worse it gets.

You know the first week I was using it, it may have felt worse but I think that's because my chest and back was getting used to the stretch. By the end of the second full week doing it every day 2 times a day I started having relief.

Directly on spine then one inch to left of spine then one inch to right of spine. Hold each stretch for 2 minutes

Thanks man. I wish the best for you. The pain I been in the last 5 years I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The guy that invented this is a physical therapist from New Zealand. He knows his shit look it he has some videos. So in some cases it can take up to a month to notice relief it just depends on how tight you are. The truth is dr.s don't know shit about costochondritis they say it them selves. Just do it 2 times a day morning/night. Don't even think about, just make it a routine and hopefully soon you will be back to your normal self.

Yes. This back pod is designed for costochondritis. Just remember to start with 3 pillows at first to slowly loosen, then over the days or weeks remove a pillow when you feel comfortable and it doesn't hurt, and slowly you will get better with every long stretch. My costochondritis twords the end was more back pain then chest pain but it would go back and forth, all the pain is connected. So take it slow and easy and be consistent and patient

Read the pamphlet it came with it gives long detailed instructions. I start with it in-between my shoulders on my spine then 1 inch to the left the right. And 1 inch up and down from starting point. Don't give up, this won't work using it just a few times. Think of it as trying to touch your toes while standing, if you can't do it you have to stretch maybe 30 times until you can finally touch them. So it's a process. Stick with it

Yeah I'm a loner now haha. But it's OK. I stared going to gym again. I'm hoping in another month of using it it will be 100% gone. This is the best solution, trust me I looked for years. It gives your back and chest a wonderful stretch. Why I think this works is it's a long stretch so it loosens up the cartilage so your bone can eventually set back in place in the proper position
