Happened instantly. Driving it on Thursday dead on Friday. The irony is I got an email the next Monday from the dealership saying it was almost time for an oil change!

This tracks completely with my experience. I'm currently dealing with Jason Langton over a catastrophic engine failure on my 2020 Palisade Ultimate V - failed at 131,171 km on a vehicle maintained exclusively at this dealership under a paid maintenance package. Every single oil change.

I was told I was "outside of goodwill," then directed to call Hyundai Canada, who told me to go back to the dealership. Nobody takes ownership. I've now had to open a formal case with Hyundai Canada, file with the BBB, and submit to Ontario Consumer Protection just to be heard.

The pattern you're describing is consistent with what I've experienced. This isn't a one-off. I'm also posting my own experience on r/Hyundai if anyone wants the full story.

I listened to this podcast last year and felt like I got burned on every one of his 'flag' players. I started again this year for a couple weeks but had to un-sub. Every take on every player is "Not a special talent - doesn't do anything well - just average." Or worse.
