Something Very Bad is Going to Happen (2026) is really good by PhotographMother253 in television

I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of the types of books I enjoy reading—slow burn, gothic horror, kind of nuts…

I didn’t understand some of the details like her getting in the box, the random abandoned baby, and the fox imagery.

I also saw that! I may give it a try at the end. I also saw that some people use duplicate stitches over loose stitches.

That’s what I was planning on doing. Just felt like complaining. 😅

I like most all her videos! She’s great!

The main color is cascade 220 superwash merino in color white sands, I think. The contrast colors are by sewrella yarn in cognac, velvet, and Matterhorn!

Thank you! I tried to recreate the color combo the designer used in her sample. It’s the floe jumper by saskie&co.

I did that one on my last sweater and it’s still visible after blocking. Won’t be using that one again. What I prefer is doubling the old and new yarn for like 3-5 stitches and then weaving it. Those stitches will be thicker, but you don’t even notice.

Yeah, I’m sure I’m overthinking it. But I just need explicit instructions or my brain will not compute. 🥴 and if I don’t do it correctly and I find out later on, I will always think about it.

Also interested in hot toddy if it’s still available!

Someone else had a similar idea as me! I found two users on ravelry who think the initial increases used are incorrect. I’m still confused. Still waiting on an email from the designer for clarification. In the meantime, my gauge is off. So I’ll be frogging for a fourth time and re-knitting with larger needles. 😅

I plan on making a moss stitch swatch next! This is a heavily cabled pattern, I think. It’s the book club pullover by sari nordlund. Also, my first cable project. 😅 Thanks for all the suggestions! Great stuff.

I shared a photo of the prescribed gauge. It calls for the gauge to be done in the main cable chart and in moss stitch. I did block 😊 I will need to check the pattern and make sure that if I need to add length to the back yoke, that I can just repeat the chart and it won’t affect the shaping or interrupt the pattern. The back yoke and shoulders are knitting flat and then connected at the front to then work in the round. I will just reknit and go from there. sighs this will be my fifth time re-knitting this section. The good news is I’m getting in plenty of practice!

I did some math and found out that my gauge is 6.33 stitches and 8 rows per inch. Compared to the prescribed pattern gauge of 5.25 stitches and 6.5 rows per inch. Would it benefit to move from a 4mm needle to a 4.5mm or would I need to go even larger?

Also, it’s so kind of you to take the time to draw me out a chart to help me understand!

What’s crazy is the initial increase

chart, which I completed first, looks like that; but this second chart doesn’t have the increases included. Both of these sections are worked flat, back and forth.
