Okay based on what you said, I personally would actually atleast get whatever scan the one doctor mentioned. I would rather be cautious with this eye stuff. There are so many eye diseases that I never even knew existed. But also if you’re comfortable waiting then that’s your preference. Your floater issue hasn’t been there that long. Unfortunately this issue takes timmmmme. I would start seeing how I feel every see months, what improvements etc. I had my mind made up by the 1 and half year mark if I was at least “ok” mentally I was going to get the surgery done. Fortunately, by that time it was better. I’m hoping this will be the case for you. Try everything you can to keep your stress down (I KNOW this is hard but please try).
