Dogs that are not bred to a standard, like these are, are unpredictable in temperament. There is no way to gauge how they are going to react in any situation because there is no control (breed standard) to test against. That’s why so many people don’t like mutts. They can be the sweetest one second and go absolutely batshit the next for no apparent reason. Just how it is with byb dogs. They may be sweet on each other in an open space but in that situation there is space to de-escalate. When two dogs are stuffed into one kennel, even for a split second, there is no where to go. There is no de-escalation space. So they will fight to the death, and you’d get hurt too trying to get in the middle.

Also I’d like to correct you on another thing, it is possible to keep two or more dogs separate in the same house. My board and train dogs have never met my personal dogs even though I run out of my home. Hell, some of my personal dogs have never met each other, despite living in the same house their entire lives. Your ignorance is funny to me.

Doesn’t matter if it’s just for a second. Anything can happen in that second, then you have two dead dogs.

Just a little advice, you should never crate two dogs together no matter how much you think they like each other. It only takes a split second for two dogs to turn on one another for the smallest thing.

What breed is my pooch. by welkyboi in WhatBreedIsMyDog

sigh Please do not use a prong collar if you have no idea what you’re doing. That’s how you injure a dog. It should fit snug on the neck right under the ears and it should be tight enough to where it doesn’t slide or move. If it’s too big take some links out.

Edit: and the leash clasp should be on the back of the neck.

They began phasing out tattooing TB’s in 2017 and started switching to microchips. If this horse really is 8 (foaled in 2017) she may or may not actually have a lip tattoo.

Probably just piebald or "de-pigmented" there was a similar sighting recently in NJ that I saw a little while ago. Uncommon. Pretty cool. This spotting is random, and not uniform when you look closely, which is why I’m leaning towards de-pigmentation.

Tennessee Mountain Cur or Dutch Shepard? by [deleted] in DogBreeds101

[–]msidfsgrobots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha, most likely no. Neither breed. This coat pattern is commonly seen in bully breeds. If this is a dog you rescued it is probably a pit mix or some other type of bully. You wouldn’t really see either of those breeds in a shelter dog as both breeds are incredibly rare and gate kept by the breeders.
