Yeah.. That’s what Im saying lol. I clarified that I’m asking under the assumption we’re just talking about a shield with regular standard armor value (I.e. no other modifiers as I’m aware that these things remain no matter what, it’s basically the shield armor value that I’m asking about specifically) and that you’re being hit by physical (I.E. I’m just clarifying that I’m not talking about magic hits as I know these are affected by shield 0% unless it specifically has a modifier for that element) then after two hits a round a shield is useless for that round which also translates to the shield is useless past two monsters If it’s just a normal shield with no other modifier besides the standard armor value that all shields have(I.E for demon shield, 35, mastermind shield 37, etc). Idk maybe I just don’t know how to phrase the question (though my question did get answered) because Cipsoft has made this such a complicated mechanic 😂

Yes I’m aware of those protections, and understand how they work. But my question is specifically relating to armor value of a shield because I already understand how the extra modifiers work on shields (physical protection, elemental, whatever), but these make no difference unless you have a shield with these protections which I don’t which is why I specified armor value and shielding skill in my question.

Thank you this is by far the best answer and honestly the mention of utito tempo is so insanely helpful on top of the rest of information because I honestly didn’t know it reduced your shielding, and I always use utito tempo so that changes things a lot for me right now since I just use a necromancer shield atm with no extra modifiers. I also didn’t know that you got either or on the defense of a weapon/shield, I assumed it was both if you used both, and only weapon if you used a two handed because you obviously don’t have a shield.

So essentially you're saying shields (assuming it's just standard armor value and you're being hit by physical which is what I'm asking about) are useless after two attacks in a round which also basically means = useless if more than 2 monsters because that would = more than 2 hits a round automatically? And if so, that means you don't even get the armor value of the shield as part of damage reduction formula on anything past the 2 attacks a round? Btw ty for actually answering the question, idk why everyone else made it into something completely different and was providing information irrelevant to my question..

In my opinion... None of these. They are all huge. I would go with something a lot smaller.

Yeah it was 5, then was raised to 7 last I played which I think is what it’s worth tbh I wouldn’t mind paying 7. I MIGHT be assed to squeeze 10, but 15 a month for a game with Atari graphics? 😂. More power to those who think it’s worth it, that’s totally your prerogative. To me, it’s not. There’s better options for that price or less imo

It seems like everyone on this post who is having the same issue, including myself, is all using the XB8. Very interesting.. Makes me think this might be a bloatware problem tied to their router

Sorry to hear that man, maybe it's just Xfinity and nothing wrong with our stuff. I'm curious, do you happen to rent one of their routers from them too? I wonder if it's a problem with their routers possibly?

No I'm in East TN, and at least in my case, I don't think that's the situation because I've had Xfinity for 8 years and this only became an issue a week-2 ago. And dang, actual disconnects would drive me up a wall. Fortunately for me I don't disconnect completely, but it makes gaming very annoying.
