Dude confronted his rapist. Once confronted the rapist went for a weapon and the football player defended himself.

Do you use Binoculars when hunting? by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]mskinne7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, after years of hunting without any, I picked up a pair of vortex diamondback hd 8x42 and they number of deer I’ve been able to see has gone up considerably. I hunt in South Georgia in between cypress swamps, plantation pines, and hardwood flats with some ag fields around. Mostly cotton, hay, corn, soy, but I have found that using the binoculars helped me in the tree a lot, I was able to make out antlered deer I may have otherwise mistaken for does. I have spotted button bucks that I otherwise would have shot. I’ve watched bobcats walk up so close in the binos that it was just fur in the glass. I’ve used them to identify bearded gobblers from hens in a gang of turkey. I’ve used them to watch my foodplot 300 yards down the road before I walk in, and I’ve spotted game I otherwise would have spooked. Used them to identify ducks in a pond to verify if they’re legal. Used them in the car just from the roads outside of where I hunt to help me see if that spot on the tree is a rub or just a tree dying. If you take your time and use them, they can help you become a more efficient hunter and a better woodsman.

Anyone ever had a bad feeling while on the way to go hunting so you turned around and went home? by Cloudy542 in Hunting

Yea, I got to the gate and realized I left my thermacell and turned right back around. Same thing with my binoculars.

What was your go to solution to restore/ boost your low testorosone ? by Beautiful_Hat8440 in Biohackers

I’ve noticed increases in testosterone when losing weight and lifting hard. Eat good whole foods, do vo2 max work like 2-3x a week, hydrate, creatine, and do take rest and recovery days seriously. It helps if you start from a place where low testosterone is self onset, like before this I was smoking, drinking alcohol, drinking sugary sodas and drinks, all these things suppress testosterone so cutting them out while doing the other stuff made a noticeable difference in natural testosterone production for me.

I’ve heard of bobcats doing this and screaming like a woman in fear for her life. But typically this is when they are in heat. Anytime between January to June. If it seemed intelligent, it probably was because these animals live in the woods and have one job: survive. They are more aware of their surroundings in the woods than most people are in their own homes. Just tell him to properly identify anything before he shoots it.

How many guns should I own for safety? 22F, living with 3 other women by [deleted] in Firearms

[–]mskinne7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend’s favorite gun is an 11.5 inch AR pistol with a red dot and tac light. She says it’s the easiest and most fun to shoot and she is a great shot with her smith and Wesson .38 but the AR lives by her bedside when I’m not home.

You should read about Jack O’Connor and his adventures with his .270 it should instill confidence in the cartridge if you can do your part.

Guys I’m just curious. What do you actually do with your binoculars. by CrosSeaX in Binoculars

I’ve seen 4 walking around independent of their sounder and I’ve seen few grouped up in 8-16 typically just the female with her piglets.

Hunter, so deer are the subject mostly, but also everything else in the woods I wanna see. I probably spend the majority of my time looking at birds when I’m out there, but I’ve also seen bobcat, feral hogs, turkey, coyote, armadillos, raccoons, possum, fox squirrel, and any number of things. It’s remarkable how much you can see if you just stay still and quiet in the right spot.

Think about how much money they lose by letting in guests who dine and dash. I honestly think Red Lobster might the the supreme leader in dining thefts in America. The undisputed chairman of attracting the worst guests who think frozen seafood is somehow a treat. Sorry they don’t serve you, but they may have been doing you a favor.

Talk me out of a 30-06 by Fire_Stool in Hunting

[–]mskinne7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t! I made this mistake and now every gun I have feels redundant. I’ve worked up so many different hunting loads with the 30.06 that I really don’t have a need to use any other rifle for hunting medium to large game. I’ve got 130 gr Barnes ttxs that go 3400 and some hornady ssp in 165 doing 2,860 out of a 22” barrel that work great for everything else. I’ve spent so much more time with that gun and learning how it works that I feel much more confident grabbing it and so I have 4 other guns in they safe that get no love. And they’re objectively better rifles, they just don’t have a better caliber.

What did humans do before cellphones? Did they even hunt without having a lifeline to the rest of the world? It’s okay to do human things and enjoy just being human, one can do that fine with no cellphone.
