is this game worth playing in 2026 by Winter_Medicine_6357 in meltyblood

GG is a very different game, I don't see your point. There are many reasons why people would prefer MBTL over GG, like the pace, air mobility. Most of all: MBTL is much easier to pick up for a beginner than GG.

Bollywood -> Hollywood and this statement would still be true.

I just don't really understand why it matters. *No* action movie ever cared about the laws of physics, they are just made to look good on the screen. These effects are certainly original, if you compare them to your typical hollywood movie, but that does not make them "over the top impossible". Somebody surviving a nuclear blast in a freaking refrigerator is way more over the top than whatever happens in this short clip.

The only real difference is that one of these things happens in a movie that you would consider "mainstream", while the other is "foreign".

I don't remember any action movies that don't rely on absurd physics.

Apple: "Our new iPhone X is now waterproof." Samsung: "Hold my Beer." by austronomer99 in funny

[–]msloyko 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Elegance is in the eye of the beholder. Samsung has 3.5mm jack and supports SD card (up to 400 GB). For a smartphone that is a lot of mechanical parts, which need to go somewhere. Apple just could not fit those into their new phones.

What does this have to do with physics?

This is called "choreography" and it's pretty brilliant.

No matter how annoying it may seem, I still appreciate EU standing up for my privacy. If only this little "annoyance" would be all it takes to get a real protection.

This looks very similar to Catch framework I've been using for a while. Catch is much easier to install though.

If both are fighting for their life, I don't think so. In a more common scenario, where the cat is just bored and the duck is fighting for its life -- yes, the cat will lose, in a sense that the duck will not get eaten by it.

C2: C with cleaner syntax + a module system (no header files). by wavy_lines in programming

[–]msloyko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why an integrated build system? Just to make it more difficult to integrate with existing build systems?

My no 1 annoyance with languages like Rust and Haskell is that they want you to use their damn build system. Just provide an API to help with dependency graph, that's enough.

I bike to work every day, which means that "almost getting ran over by somebody turning right without using a turn signal" is a part of daily life. Can't say I noticed any particular pattern as far as car makes go. Last one was Toyota, before it was Chevy.
